Taking on a Reaper Leviathan - With Floaters

The PDA entry for Ancient Floaters has an interesting bit that suggests Leviathans can die from having too many floaters on them. I decided to test this out to see if it's just a bit of lore, or if it's actually implemented in the game.
I'm still not sure if it worked.

For another fun experiment, you can breed crashfish in an alien containment, put them in the prawn storage when fully grown, and use the propulsion cannon arm to fire them at creatures like a grenade launcher.

I tried this with one of the deeper reapers and it seemed unaffected until at one point it collided with some terrain and suddenly stretched out across the screen and disappeared. Don't think I got footage of that one though.

Too many, haha. Thanks. This is my first real attempt at editing a video, so it probably took a lot longer than it needed to. Had to learn the tools as I went. It probably took something like 16-20 hours. The actual playtime was about 45 minutes, and it took maybe an hour or two to gather all the floaters. There's another full locker that didn't fit on my sub. Glad you enjoyed it.

@@suldee9917 Floaters are typically attached to rocks floating around Red Kelp Zone. Other than to potential be used in mass on other lifeforms to muck up their movement, they can be used to help move boulders blocking cave passages in the Safe Shallows or a few other locations.

Floaters are genuinely the most broken thing in the game. They can get stuck to you and make you fly, once there was an area where for no reason at all you would spawn floaters out of nothing, etc.

And that's why I don't take my ships for these things. I'm not really seeing the point of the floaters? I just came at it with the stasis rifle and the thermoblade. It took like 45 minutes, but it was a very satisfying victory when that thing finally went down. I somehow managed to fight it all the way back to the shallows, and I think some of the other aggressive fauna helped out XD
