Things Jack needs to do: - Gallop near an eagle and get it to follow you. Jump off Agro with the eagle overhead, then grab the eagle and soar to victory. - Jump and grab a Dove in the temple. Because peace and stuff. - Do some sweet side-saddle and standing-on-saddle tricks. - Grab a fish in one of the lakes and do your best impersonation of a Zora. (All of these are 100% legitimate things you can do in-game and I love the programmers for it). Random things, for fun: - Play a round of arrow roulette (fire straight up, move at the last second) - Find the Hidden Colossus. Whether or not it exists, who knows. But this would've been the PERFECT time for them to add it in after all these years and all of the speculation that surrounded the original. Easter Egg Jack would like (don't read this if you want to find them yourself): - On the way to the sixth colossus, in a forest, look for a cave. You'll find a tasty treat for a lovable giant, surrounded by glowies. There's a coin next to it, too. Not sure of its purpose though...

Just to note those things you mention at the start were in the original too.Also I don't think any new things like that have been added sadly, would be nice if there was a good amount of additional content. One of my favourite games but I don't really want to spend like £30 on it just for updated graphics.

The game is already made for them it's not like they had to sit and do concept stuff for years like with most games, they literally just had to re-create what was already there. They could easily have added more. Breaking the pacing is irrelevant if they're just rewards for beating the game, like the other weapons and stuff you already get that are ultimately kinda pointless anyway.

I think this is a testament to how video game storytelling has changed. This is the first time I've ever watched Shadow of the Colossus, but right off the bat I was like "it's super weird that we're killing these benevolent creatures for no reason"

When I first watched this series I was really young and had no idea how to appreciate anything, I hated this series because it was boring. Dear Jack, I know you and Robin have your editing-techniques down to the bone. But I beg you, could you PLEASE increase the game-volume just a small bit? It's the music; it's the strongest part of the game but I can barely hear it underneath your energetic commentary in combat. I know each track by heart, but I'm sure newbies or people with bad hearing would appreciate it being able to get fully hit in the face by the orchestra. I'm enjoying every second of this playthrough and am extremely hyped for Avion, my favorite Colossus (who has also my favorite battle-theme, so boost its audio! :D) ! Thank you!

Okay, I knew basically *nothing* about this game before this series. But so far, I really like the open world and the atmosphere of it. Also, the colossi are REALLY intimidating (those weird eyes and the way they're sorta animalistic but also almost machine-like...?). And those voices in the temple thing are still creeping me out... But most of all, I really enjoy seeing Jack reminiscing so fondly over it, and I personally think it's fun to hear about the comparisons. Makes me interested to check out the original to see for myself. Though, I'm a bit confused to what "spoilers" he's talking about. Is it more to the plot than riding around killing monsters to resurrect the dead girl...? Actually, don't tell me. I'm just gonna keep watching. :3

A thing that Jack doesn't show is that you have to use your sword in order to find the weak spots, like the same way you use it to find each colossus. As Jack has played this game a lot, he just goes for those spots without explaining how to find them.

My first experience of this game was this year, when Games Done Quick (GDQ) had a live speedrun of the game. Naturally, i took to searching for people playing the game, and no surprise there- Jack's Ps3 version of Shadow of The Colossus became what i watched. Now im ready to watch it again, i wanna see the ps4 remake i did not see last time! (Most likely due to the mentions of the ps3 version first ep) This game is rather great, and a marvel to behold! I can see why its so highly praised.

The overall environmental sound, and theme music of this game “Shadow of the Colossus” will forever be immortalized. Battle Theme music specifically “The Opened Way” is just Nostalgic!. For those who are interested about this game, i’d recommend few known people that has shown dedication and love for SOTC, (i know that the fan community is huge and still active, but to be specific) Nomad Colossus, Max Derrat, and Jacob Geller has made great videos about the game, the known information and the ongoing knowledge hunt for more than a decade!

There is another way to get to the top of the tower. A few people who use to be "secret-seekers" found out that you can shoot down some of the Lokis, which are the hawks, and grab onto them as they took off. There use to be only three that could support your weight, and they would fly over the map and take you close enough to the tower to jump onto. Theres also a hidden dam outside of the map, and ocean space with a beach, and there may be new possible easter eggs or a secret colossus

The regular way to get to the top of the tower is still there, it wasn't removed. Jack was just looking at the wrong wall.

I've already heard about Shadow of the Colossus but never really knew what it was about. I wasn't interested in playing it but I wanted to know what it was about and so I am happy to found you playing the new remake of it as I do enjoy your commentary. Jack do you see how ruined the bosses are it’s like they are close to death themselves but imagine if you fought them while they were still in their prime able to move swiftly for their size and how strong they would be if they were to make a shadows of the colossus 2 who knows it could be based of a time when they were stronger and instead of fighting to destroy the statues you fight them to steel something from them maybe what was protecting them from the darkness that always comes out of them when they die I would love something like that but I’m sorry if someone already said this or if I’m incorrect based on previous known lore but tell me if you think it’s a cool idea thank you for your time

5:25 Kicking underwater avoids surface turbulence (splashing), avoids surface tension (which keeps water molecules together) and gives you more propulsion (kicking the air or kicking the water near the surface - making it swirl on the top - just wastes energy) :)

I actually discovered this game through your old SoTC series, I remember some and the ending. I never got it then because I didn't have the money to. Fast forward a few years later and I got myself a PS4 and the SoTC remake for it so far I've really been enjoying the experience. If it werent for you I would never have had the interest to play so I thank you.
