This made the prefect protective style while i was on vacation, but these twists/ braids are long over due! As I mentioned in my last video I wanted to share the process of me taking out my one month old twists. This method is simple! You can use it for taking out old braids and cornrows. Take your time and use moisture if needed(and fine tooth comb)

Yasss. I love doing my hair like this and keeping it twisted for about a month, but never thought of 3- stand twisting at the beginning. Does that make them last longer? Getting ready for a 2 week vaca and gonna do a bunch of mini twists this time.

@Nee Hardy I believe she did as a three strand at the beginning so it lasts longer and so that the twists are more firm

Same thing always happens to me. What I do is a week before I take them down, moisturize with LCO, water and aloe mix, cream and oil. Then I stretch my twists by doing two big flat twists and pinning them down. When it comes to actually take them down, so much easier and way less tangles. My twists usually last a month as well.

I do the mini twists and have the same problem. But I like the mini twist because even when it’s old I can flat twist them or braid them and have a cute curly pin up. But I also like this style so I can wet and wash my hair anytime and not have to fight my bush. So you can still wash your hair twist in.

When I first saw this video, I thought that you were going to have a time taking down those twists. But you managed to impress me with your taking them down nice and easy. I would have had to use a lot of water and conditioner to get through that. Plus I’m a little rough with my hair. So I would have lost a lot more hair. Thanks

Sisssssss!!! Hey boo! I am so sorry you wasn't feeling well. Glad you're all better now and back into awesome mode, putting out great content! Thank you for filming the good, bad and ugly of semi-mini twists. Several videos are on KZbin entail the installation of mini twists and not the entire process (not surprised 🤔). I had mini- twists in for 3 weeks and it took 5 hours to remove. I thought I could wing it for 6 weeks but I workout 5 days a week and the sweat, dirt and grime negatively impacted my hair. I experienced alot of matting, locking and tangles. After the removal of the twists, it took 8 hours to detangle and a full day of washing and setting. I loved them to pieces but if one is trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, this protective style will be one's kryptonite 🙄. Loved how the hair bounced back and curls came back to life. Yassss huntay! 🙌🙌🙌

Mini twists are done super small. Most of the time you have to use a rat tail comb to take them out. When they are left in too long they become matted and sometimes can’t be undone( depends on how long, small and how it was done)
@ShaniqueBuntyn
@ShaniqueBuntyn 6 жыл бұрын

How do you get your hair to stay in twists a month? Mine start unraveling midweek. I think my hair is 4a.

Try doing them small and tight. Also do it on damp hair
