I stopped at a yard sale in Hinsdale NH few years ago that had a few of these type of bikes out for sale. One had an old lawn boy 2 stroke engine mounted to it - by the cylinder size it looked like it had some good power. Need to do the sweep thru again this season. Almost always find some great stuff - unlike in Mass where i mostly find over priced crap never understood that. Been to some good ones in brattleboro as well. I feel better knowing i'm not the only one who saves little bits of stuff - good stuff. BUT then uses it when it counts, man the crap i get for that! Great stuff !

Rub and Buff can be used on plastic as well, really any smooth surface you want to appear metal. Try using less when applying, just a BB size dab on a cloth covered finger and rub it in. A little goes a long way. Bikes look great !

love to watch u repair and fix things! HOWEVER, to save yourself alot of pain, and serious injury, stay off busy small roads like in front of your house entirely when testing or riding, and mount rearview mirrors on both sides on all bikes u intend to use on road! likely u will ignore this, but as i like u i had to bring it up...

Hey bud, maybe that fan cowling could use a bit of added 'distress' -maybe beat it up a bit with a string of nuts and bolts, and add a few small shallow random dents... then hit er with the shoe dye, and a bit of real grime. :)
@DetroitMicroSound7 жыл бұрын
Ah! One more thing man.. I bet it would be easy to make a tuned pipe out of that bat, which would probably give ya quite a boost in performance, and fuel savings, even if you just wing it, and do some guestimating on the geometry. you've already got a diverging section, and a belly...Now you just need a converging section you can shove down the end of the pipe, and try it in different locations along the length of the already existing belly, until you get closest to wherever you want it tuned most. ..Lol, you could almost shove a metal funnel inside there... and you'd already have the basis for your stinger, as well. :)

just for kicks.. if you can get some small leather scraps... or cut up an old leather belt.. try that for polishing.. the cloth or papertowels absorb the abrasive.. the leather cannot absorb very much.. its hard to move between abrasive compounds... so have several piece.. and rubber band them to the bottle to prevent mixing up a course grit impregnated version with a fine grit bottle of compound..
