Repent DOES NOT mean turning from sins because ''turning from sins to be saved'' is works salvation. Acts 19:4/Matthew 21:32 (which says BELIEVE ON HIM) defines the message John the Baptist preached in Matthew 3:2/Mark 1:4/Luke 3:3/John 1! Acts 19:4-Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of REPENTANCE, saying unto the people, that they should BELIEVE ON HIM which should come after him, that is, ON CHRIST JESUS. (there, it defines the context as BELIEVE ON HIM ON CHRIST JESUS) Matthew 21:32- For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots BELIEVED him: and ye, when ye had seen it, REPENTED NOT afterward, that ye might BELIEVE HIM. So to say ''repent means to turn from sins to be saved'' is not only works salvation, rather contradicts these passages vhich defined the message John preached by Jesus Christ and Paul as BELIEVE ON HIM ON CHRIST JESUS.
