Phychotic medication has so many side effect problems it is truly frightening and the failure rate is very high.

Amisulpride was a lifesaver that got me out of psychotic mania (with lithium and lamotrigine) in 2017 and psychotic depression (with lamotrigine and bupropion) in 2019. Unfortunately it always increases my prolactin loads so I can only take it for a few months to come out of episodes and then rely on mood stabilisers to keep me stable. Informative and friendly video, I wish more psychiatrists prescribed amisulpride as it’s got such a good side effect to efficacy ratio. 😊

Just use some medication to lower prolactin and continue amisulpride 🤷♀️

Cheers for opinion 'Claire' as just taken 1st dose & coincidentally also on Lamotrigine (for Epilepsy), but a positive post is well appreciated. Hope works out as at 'end of tether' tbh 🤞✌️

8 hours is often not enough sleep. 8 hours is an average - not a standard - and some people just need more. I need 9.5 to feel really well (but get less than 8 most of the time because of social pressures).

I am seeing too many dreams. Is it a sideeffect of amisulpride?

What I struggle with the most Dr (taking Quetiapine and Amisulpride) is sleep. I sleep way too much, I just sleep to noon... Can you do a video about this?

This night i woke up because my hand was wet. I was making milk with my breasts. I also was very late on my period. I was scared as hell. Especially since I'm virgin. Really it made me terrified.

My son had first episode of psychosis started Amisulpride with small dose and titrated it up , now he is on 400 mg a day. He has significant shoulder tics , abnormal hand movement, and abnormal neck movement, he also has abnormal mouth movement , slightly protrudihg his tongue, also can not sit in one place for long. He gained wt, and still withdrawn although slightly better, and become less aggressive. His dr does not want to change this medicine as she would like him to have a peroid of stability. I feel he become vague, no emotions, can not make devisions , slow to walk, and slow to talk, he is like a robot. I am lost not sure what to do. Do you think changing to another antipsychotic is hood idea, and will the new medicine will not give him these SE. Plz advice, and what is the best meficine gor him which give less SE. Thanks

I've had an illness for many years and what I don't think I was asked what I was allergic to and found Siloam no good for me as with clozapine due to kidney problems however I realise that's not for everyone

I had an allergic reaction to it. My entire body was itching, I was constantly vomiting and I got a rash. I remember not being able to feel hungry or full so I had to be careful how much I ate so not to over eat. I had to stop cold turkey though because of the allergic reaction. Not great xD

I can read mind. If I don't take Solian I hear so much voice I loose all my concentration reading too much people mind. But it is also a good thing because when I fight in a dojo I can easily dodge every hit like I had ultra instinct. My psychic power need some medication to lower down so I can live a normal life not using em.

I loved amisulpride (for schizoaffective bipolar), had no weight gain on it, but was taken off it because my prolactin went too high. I'm currently on quetiapine and am not at all happy with the huge weight gain. Also tried aripiprazole, but had a bad reaction to it.
@mathildesavelli5557 Жыл бұрын
How does prolactin being too high manifest for you?
@ghost2047ad Жыл бұрын
I had no discernible symptoms, but the shrink said a prolactin level of 2000 (80 to 300 normal) wasn't good.

Seems a low dose below therapeutic effect. 400-800mg is usually where it works for most. Im currently on 1100mg and its failing to work, after 3 years of great success.
