I love following along your guys' life, and seeing how you approach family life with a different perspective, than most people. But watching your vlogs i can't help noticing that you talk a lot about sustainability, taking care of the planet and thinking about you impact on the world. I am genuinely curious how travelling and especially flying, fits into that picture? Is it something you think about and do you consider travelling in different ways, to lower your impact (fx train, or less frequent travelling)? From my perspective it seems a bit excessive flying to Malaga just because you are tired of the weather in the country you have chosen to live in. I am not trying to put you down, but i am just trying to understand how this fits in with your values? As this is also i am pondering at the moment. Much love from a fellow travel enthusiast!💚

On Neos sleep- you need to establish a regular nightly routine. Buy two new books for him and only read those in the evening before bed. Have certain phrases that you use as you’re getting ready to put him down. As soon as you put him in bed, turn off all TV/media in the house so that it’s quiet and he’s not getting up to investigate what fun things you’re doing. Try to do all this even when you’re traveling to keep the consistency going. It will take a while, but eventually he’ll get on board.

The best thing we ever did as parents was consistently getting our kids to bed at 1930 every night. Once they were 5, they got 30 minutes of quiet reading time, which we extended to 9 p.m. for our 8-year-old. I know not everyone can do this but it is so important for their development and wellbeing to get consistent sleep. An added benefit is that the quiet reading time feels like they are getting to stay up later, so it gives them a positive mindset about reading and books. The only time they are up beyond that is on vacation, family movie night, or if we go out somewhere.

I'm glad that you guys were ok and able to leave Malaga in time. When I saw your Instagram stories that you were there and then there were no following updates I wondered if the storm had affected things. Living in Spain I know the damage that other parts of the country and the emergency phone messages that come through, it's been quite bad in some areas.

My son was 15 months old when it became very apparent that having an afternoon nap meant he would be up till midnight. So that was the end of naps, but he would sleep from 8 pm till 8 am every night. Loved watching your little getaway❤

that plantvwith big long green leaves n orange blue is called bird of paradise 6:08 we had them in our front yard as a k8d growing up in Huntington Beach California we dug them up from my auntie Florence house in Santa Monica CA n transfer them to our house n to her new home in westminster in the mid 1970s n there where still at my house I grew up in til my mom died in 2016 n we sold house drove past when we're in California in 2019 n I don't rember if still there.

Wow Malaga looks so good! Adding it to our bucket list 😊My 25 month old has started to not always have a nap during the day, so think she’ll be dropping them soon 🥺 And at bedtime, she sometimes goes to bed later even up to an hour later than normal. I guess it’s where they want to be awake and just do and see everything!

I think you should travel until you find a permanent place you love ! You can absolutely travel from your home base and even have a “summer home” somewhere else. Spain’s perfect because you can travel to so many places from there and Spain itself is so beautiful to travel around

The UK seems alot like where i live on vancouver island in Canada, its beautiful during the summer but the summer is only 4 months long then its just grey and rain, lucky to not get much snow, but you literally will go months with overcast grey never seeing a blue sky.

I think with a baby travelling by land is extremely difficult especially for a short quick trip. I completely agree about conscious living but the people we need to hold responsible are people like Taylor swift taking her private jet from city to city not a family taking a flight who already live so consciously through their ways of life (buying second hand, eating vegan) their footprint is way less than most!

1) Meat, dairy and wool farming scientifically proven cause more emissions than the entire transport in the world combined INCLUDING plane travel. So by being vegan Raya and Louis already do more to save the planet than most people. 2) While they do care about the environment and planet, their main reason to be vegan is for the animals aka ethical reasons. The facts that a vegan lifestyle and a plantbased diet are also more environmentally friendly and has multiple health benefits are a bonus of course. 3) The fly commercial planes and not a private jet I especially find it hilarious when meat/dairy eaters in general criticize plane travel because they are hypocrites who cause much more emissions than any vegan could ever do even if vegans travel by plane, they overall still cause much less emissions than meat/dairy eaters. I like Raya's and Louis' travel vlogs and their spontaneous little adventures.

Please ignore everyone virtue signaling by questioning the way you travel.....the commercial flight was going to fly from destination A to B anyway. This is a conversation to have with billionaires like TSwift who fly their private jets on a whim along distances they could've easily chosen to drive instead. Also, Raya and Louis are literally travel KZbinrs?? Like their thing is that they travel....how do you expect them to do this without flying when it's necessary. In the past they've also never been above driving (literally drove from North to South America, had a VW bus and school bus which they used to travel by land for years).
