We aren’t worried about making an extra bit of hp with removing the emissions. The most important thing we wanna do is make our trucks more reliable. The emissions system is simple extra things to make the truck go into the shop. With out it, nothing but a good thing. With it, yes you can make power but emissions equipment are extremely prone to failure and something else on the truck to leave you stranded

Ram is distancing themselves from parts for used and out of warranty trucks. Your only option at some point is to delete.

I think most guys who trucks pay their mortgage and feed their families are looking for a truck that does not go into limp mode on the side of the highway for no good reason, and want to avoid paying 5-10 thousand dollars to fix something that will decrease reliability and performance. The power gains are only a by-product.

Have a 2013 Ram 6.7 (bought new) and like you guys were talking about on the auto trans .. does seem to be sluggish even during tow .... Would like to have mine tuned to help improve over factory performance which I truly believe is lacking.

It's definitely true that the 68rfe is clunky. I had a 2016 that I believe had one and my 2022 does too. I sure would love to see the things you talk about on my truck. More hp, less clunky gear changes, and fewer regen cycles would be amazing.

It's the cost of CUMMINS ECMs more so than anything. Once a way to flash is found, tuning packages drop quite a bit in price. Anyways, these trucks new are closing in on 100k in price.....

@Soldierboy1986 We actually just came out with TCM tuning for 4th-Gen Cummins with the Aisin Trans. We should be coming out with a product video around it in the coming weeks but we are still trying to find a vehicle for the video. It might be a few weeks till we get something out on it. But I will make a note to make as much content as we can while its in!

It's crazy that we always talk power but these trucks come with a minimum of 420 and the low and 500hp on the high end. Not sure what you have to pull to that needs more power. Now if we are talking better mpg gains or ultra clean tunes, then I'm in.

Well you have come to the right place.... We have always been in the forefront of leading with clean tunes (longevity) and we see bumps (1-3 mpg) with our tunes given you are driving the truck like you want a bump in fuel economy.

@luisuriostegui6376 We beg to differ. These trucks are some of the most underpowered from the factory and when it comes to towing performance the added power can be a game changer. Emissions equipment is both important for managing your EGT's and preventing harmful greenhouse gasses and carcinogens from being spread into our atmosphere and the air we all breath. The effects of excessive emissions outputs from pre-emissions and deleted diesel are part of the reason why we are now forced to used emissions systems and why we will eventually be forced to abandon diesel for electric. Keeping your emissions system on your truck increases the chances of keeping Diesel engine production alive and Diesel engines as a part of our future. Please try to do your part.

I replace the ecm all the time and yes they are not cheap. $2800 sounds about right...
