I'm Moroccan, I have four dogs myself. Thanks bro for being fair and transparent in transmitting the reason why things might just seem abuse. There are those reasons, and it is entirely true about the kids thing! Super sad! I live in the Netherlands, and I cannot take my dogs to Morocco with me because of what you just described brother!

Cheers for the vid guys.. Researched most of this, good to hear your experience with Sen.. The kids thing could be a problem! Dizzee already doesn’t like little humans😬.. Will have to blind fold him a lot when we go… It took us along time to train him not to act aggressive towards little kids, like Sen got, he’s scared of them, crazy how the culture (peoples reactions) is so much different regarding dogs there, didn’t think about that too much tbh x

Dogs in Morocco like cats typically eat leftover human food, as they should. There's little reason to buy dog or cat food, and as few Moroccans own dogs in urban areas it's to be expected that it's expensive for the few that insist on buying it.

I m from morocco , used to have an amstaff as my dearest buddy , i had the same kind of reactions but i managed to socialize my dog just fine. It s true that many people would stick to walls or cross the streets as i passed by , my he was such a gentle dog i could literally have him prank people at the local shop by surprising them from behind XD. all jokes aside morocco is quite changing their perspectives about dogs , people used to see dogs more as an utility dog for hunting , guarding property of sadly fighting , and wild dogs are mostly seen as pest (lately a french tourist got killed by a pack of dogs) now more and more people see them as pets . also for the wild dogs , there is a big governement inverstment into open air shelters as a law has been passed making it illegal to voluntarly kill wild dogs .
@u.2b2152 жыл бұрын
Why as a Moroccan did you even think it was okay to walk with your dog in the streets? It doesn't matter if it is a gentle dog, it is not done in Muslim countries to keep dogs as pets. Dogs should be kept for hunting, guarding livestock or land only.
@elmehdibenhadj57702 жыл бұрын
@@u.2b215 That dog was more of a friend than some "muslims" really . What s wrong with keeping a dog as a pet though ? I mean with all due respect people do have dogs as pets in here so idk why i did anything wrong.
@u.2b2152 жыл бұрын
@@elmehdibenhadj5770As a Muslim who decides what is wrong or right? Is it not Allah and his messenger (pbuh)? You did wrong because the prophet (pbuh) said that keeping a dog for anything other than hunting, guarding or herding is wrong. Now you know.

Nowadays a lot of Moroccans own dogs but some still get scared cuz the animals here get angry a lot but if u go to developed places in Morocco u will never experience these problems
@u.2b2152 жыл бұрын
It's not about being scared, it is frowned upon to keep dogs in inner cities as pets. Respect the local customs when you travel, no matter how much you believe your "developed" customs are better. Dogs in Muslim countries are kept in rural areas for guarding land, herding livestock or hunting but not as pets.

I've never been to Morocco with a dog but I've brought one back from these streets (bledis dogs as they call it) to France and I can say it wasn't easy but now its living its best life, saved of a certain death cause most of moroccans (not everyone thanks god) are killing these dogs by considering them as harmful things. Her name is Kala and we can feel in her eyes she's so gratefull. She doesn't have to fight anymore to survive against moroccans or other dogs I think it will be the best decision I've ever made in my whole life.

In Morocco, like in many Muslim countries dogs are typically only kept in rural places, as guard dogs, for herding livestock or hunting. I'm sorry but Moroccan cities are simply not a place for you to take your dog and just walk around in the city centers. While there is no law prohibiting you from doing so but it's frowned upon.

easy way to handle the dog is, open the cardoor let the dog out and close it and drive away. or keep it at at home.😂

You're not far off. But in the Islamic belief; if you want to keep a dog, you should know that as soon as it enters your home, your guardian angels will not keep you company for 40 days. After those 40 days, your dog is all welcome. I'm a Moroccan Muslim, but I still don't understand it, though it's not like it ever stopped me, or anyone else from keeping a dog.

People in Morocco don't believe dogs are bad. depends on which doctrine a muslim follows people in Saudi Arabia view dogs as bad while people in Morocco view dogs as fine to have as pets... This is like Christians catholic and orthodox, they are slightly different but same religion.
