My snapdragon 888 in the OnePlus 9 still plays everything i need it to. Red Magic does look like a possible upgrade in the future though. Its priced great for what you get. OFC the new OnePlus is looking great also. What is that Maya thing? an AI assistant?

It's very strange cap 40fps in the pubg. any chances to unlock it?
@TakiUdon10 ай бұрын
If you want to have a higher FPS cap, they force you to lower your graphical settings to low/mid. Makes no sense with something this powerful and it's a stupid restriction. You can use a 3rd party app to bypass this.

is there active cooling on this thing? does it thermal throttle at all?
@2annie1chalice1110 ай бұрын
It got a build in fan. I write this with the 8pro+ with Gen2. Fan kicks in on heavy demand or when you wish to. Never got heat issues, like on mine old Samsung phones Redmagic is really the best gaming phone on the market. Worth every penny.
@TakiUdon10 ай бұрын
It will never thermal throttle with the fan. If you use the profiles that I show, they select clock frequencies that can safely operate with or without the fan. If you use diablo mode with the fan, it won't throttle, but it will get hot.

I have this issue with Red magic and retroarch, every time I hit the air triggers it is assigned to a short cut for screen shots, I’ve looked everywhere to change the setting but can’t find it. Has anyone had this issue and figured out how to fix it? At the moment I’m just using stand alone emulators now. But I’d rather just boot up retroarch. Or I there a better retroarch alternative now?

How can you play/emulate HL2 or Morrowind on the phone?
@TakiUdon10 ай бұрын
There is a source port launcher for HL1 and HL2 that runs the Windows game files. Morrowind has an open source project called OpenMW that also runs official game data. I used the Android version of it.

Just wished these had External MicroSD support, they have the space. They know their audience are buying this for emulation and the things this emulates are large games. Hey but headphone jack, at least. Also why can't android turn off the device display when displaying out?
