I just got my takomo heads last week. Put in graphite fujikara air speeder 50 shafts in it. I am 69 yo. I hit about the same distances as this you man does. I can’t tell you how much I liked these clubs. I usually shoot around 75-85. I didn’t practice one swing with these. Just put them in my bag and played. Shot a75 with two three putts. Really nice hitting clubs. I was amazed how solid these irons are.

Im a high handicapper and I play with the King Cobra Tour, regular stiff shaft. I never got fitted for any of my clubs; but will be this off season (winter). Been playing for 3 seasons (winter for 6 months) but I have been seriously thinking about these Takomo's, been hearing but great reviews and thank you for yours. Keep up the great work.

Sadly, my favorite pair seems to be from a company that is out of business "Wolfventures" they sent them to me for review and now their site is down. I have a Nike Pair that I really love and Skechers are incredibly comfortable.

Great irons. Far out performing my Mizuno hot metal. Once you get use to the slight off set, they are great and a lot more forgiving. Hitting a lot more greens. Don’t get me wrong , they won’t cure a poor swing but if you do the basics reasonably they perform great . Beautiful looking clubs too. People think they’re blades. So people are surprised how well they perform.

The reviews have been very consistent throughout YT about the Takoma irons. This was the way a club video review should be. You really put them through their paces. Lets see what 9 holes of total Takoma looks like. Wish I had your ball flight. Looks like ya might have to put at least 6 0:58 iron in the bag.😊

I really enjoyed this review of the Takomo 101 irons. As background, I’m 73 and I’m looking for a new set of irons. I’ve played golf for 60+ years, and age has taken much of my distance and flexibility…so I’m looking for something “easy to hit”… on a budget. Would this set be good for seniors? I live in a retirement community in Florida and usually play the “executive” courses (par 3s). Your thoughts? Thank you in advance for your response.

I really debated going with this set of irons, but I decided to go with a used set of Calloway Mavrik Max irons. Simply due to the fact I found some in my area really. These Takomos look and sound great though.

I suspect if you took the logos off the 101s, the Haywood Signatures, the Calley 01s and (yes, I’m serious) the Ram FX77s you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. The DTC guys are using more or less identical hollow heads.

Takomo and Caley Golf are the same clubs, out of the same Chinese factory, from the same molds. You can pick from about a dozen heads and start your own golf club company just by adding a head name or logo.

Is there anyone who's not afraid to say that these clubs are on par with a low-end K-Mart set? ...terrible irons. I have a set of Adams A2OS (circa 2006). They are head and shoulders better than the Takomo 101 irons I bought to replace them. Difficult lesson learned. Unless you can hold and swing it a few times, don't bother. And Takomo clubs are essentially unreturnable. (Read the return policy for yourself) I'm not surprised, given the non-playability.

I'm not going to insult you by saying you are lying about how great your Adams irons are but I'm not a person who insults people over an opinion.
