Finally a Tal game i got tired of watching "accurate games"
@P.sherman45 Жыл бұрын
this game is also accurate, engine just sometimes doesnt find tal moves, even in depth 30. tal moves are winning, they just are not the top move. edit: damn, while i was writing this comment engine went up to depth 40 and tal move was the best (Rh1) 😂😂

It’s like a totally different way to play chess. Bold sacrifices that buy you ethereal positional advantages from which to then broker more sacrifices. He was so good at it that he was consistently able to fall into material debt - on his terms - and resurface afterwards either equal or at an advantage.
@Puschit18 ай бұрын
Up to the point where his opponents were hesitant to accept any sacrifice offered by Tal. Which effectively means Tal could occasionally blunder without actually losing a piece^^
@sgtlaugh Жыл бұрын
Pretty cool and funny. Tal sacrificed his original queen X times. In the end, it was accepted. Also, he brought a new queen to sacrifice it just for deflection. Ironic how when his opponent resigned, he had just a bishop and his opponent still had their queen :)

This was really a tempo game. Tal sees so far into the future moves that he dragged the opponent into the end game with his pawn ending up on the 7th rank, backed by the bishop. It's beyond my understanding how good these masters are, especially Tal. Wow. That was an incredible game.

Tal sets up such tempting sacrifices. He even takes the time to repackage them for further temptation. If the carrot on a stick doesn't work, he tries a gold-plated carrot on a stick. Then a diamond-studded solid gold carrot on a stick. Then if that doesn't work he just pushes a passed pawn he created 10 moves ago until you have to resign. HBD to an absolute genius.
