Thank you for that. I 1st saw Tal when she did "Chelsea Hotel". I was really intrigued and wanted to see more more of her and that led me back to Jeff. I loved Jeff way back in the 70's but lost track of him. I did immediately recognize Jeff in the movie Twins . I was to busy with things other than music. When I found the Crossroads concert, it really got to me to see the interactions between them & not to mention the Great music that I had been missing out on. So Thank You Tal. I really appreciate it. RIP Jeff

While watching this interview, I was struck by how deeply artists, at least this artist, feel things. I’m not artistic in any way, and analytical, and I don’t feel grief to the depth that she has shared. This was really impactful for me.

Tal I Think The World Of You. It's Been Over A Year Since Jeff Was Cruelly Taken From The World And Those Who Loved Him. I'm Still Having A Hard Time Processing. I Met Jeff In October 2022. I Thanked Him For 55 Years Of Pure Joy From His Playing. I Am Terminally Ill And I Don't Get Out To Shows Anymore But When Jeff Would Be In N Y. PA, or N.J. I Would Go To 3 Shows. I Would Suffer Like A Dog After Them But To Listen To And See Jeff Live It Was Worth It. I've Been Very Bad Recently And You Know 7:05 7:05 When It's Close To That Time. Thank You Tal For Bringing Your Incredible Talent To What I Think Is The Greatest Quartet Ever. Jeff, You,Vinnie and Jason. I've Seen Jeff With Every Band Incarnation And It Was So Obvious The Love And Repect He Had For The Three Of You. No Other Band Came Close To The Music You 4 Made Together And I'm Sure He Missed It. I Have A Trip To The Cleveland Clinic Scheduled In 10 Days. Thank You For Bringing Joy To Jeff During Your Stay At His Home And In The Band.He Adored You. I Can't Wait To See My Parents When The Time Comes. I Pray I Find Jeff.

So true! That show at Ronnie Scotts was my first view of Tal. Been a fan of Jeff since Yardbirds and this show at RS ranks for me as one of his best - obviously including the wonderful talent he had on stage with him. You could tell he made Tal feel right at home, as she was able to play freely and at ease with a smile most of the evening. Tal was having fun! She has mentioned previously how Jeff and his wife made her feel like family. Tal Wilkenfeld is a wonderful talent and appreciated playing with and learning from Jeff, having him as major stepping stone in her career. I know Tal, along with millions of us miss Jeff.

I still haven't got over Jeff's passing. The way I play guitar is due to listening to him and stealing a lot from him. Glad I got to see him on his last tour.

What a doll and talent. She took Jeff’s passing better than I, I believe. After about a week, my wife finally told me to “get over it!”. I finally compartmentalize it.
@zaynes50944 ай бұрын
@melodymakermark I was told by my mom, "Do not tell your father yet, give it to him simply when you think it's a good day to do it." So, one day, a few days later, I just floated it to him on the way to a shopping trip and he was really gutted from it. Never saw him tear up at Van Halen or Dio or any of the other legends he loves like he did for Jeff Beck. He did tell me that he remembered the day they announced John Lennon died of a crazy fan's delusions. He told me that he did cry then.

Caught Tal first with Jeff at Eric Clapton's Crossroads benefit concert, where their chemistry was amazing. However, I hadn't really heard her speak prior to this, and gotta say; what an incredibly intelligent person she is! Regarding the loss of these icons, it's not likely to let up in the next few years. On the contrary, many are in their 80s, so we must expect these losses to come; not to say that makes such losses easier to bear. Personally, I think I'll miss BB King forever.

Over 1 year ago Jeff Beck passed away. I wanted to say something sooner but I honestly could not put thoughts into words without becoming visibly upset. His death hurt me as much as when either of my parents passed away. As a matter of fact, his being on the planet creating some of the most incredible guitar playing was strong heart felt medicine that helped me get thru the day/night. The last year has been extremely hard on me emotionally for various reasons. Listening to his music has been helpful, but it always reminds me that the #GOATGuitarist is no longer with us but his musical endeavors will always be here for his family, friends, & fans to enjoy. How much did I love Jeff Beck ? I got to see him 15 times perform his guitar artistry in concert. 1) "Fire Meets Fury" with Stevie Ray Vaughan in Chicago, Illinois 1989 2) 2 times with Santana in 3 days in Illinois & Wisconsin 1995 3) "Who Else" tour 2 times in Illinois 1999 4) "You Had It Coming" tour in Illinois 2001 5) Eric Clapton "Crossroads" shows in 2007 & 2010 in Bridgeview, Illinois 6) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in Cleveland,Ohio 2009 7) Intimate club tour at Park West, Chicago 2009 8) Les Paul tribute tour with Imelda May, Cadillac Theater, Chicago,Illinois 2011 9) Chicago Theater 2015 10) "Loud Hailer" Ravinia Highland Park, Illinois 2016 11) Performed half hour encore with Rod Stewart Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, California 2019 12) "18" tour with Johnny Depp Phoenix, Arizona 2022 EVERY time I saw Jeff Beck perform in concert he never disappointed anyone in attendance. He only got better & better mastering the guitar as the years went on in his life. He was the only musician I have ever seen in my lifetime that propelled me to a place I had only experienced when seeing him live. I was so happy & joyful when I was in attendance watching/listening to him tear it up. I'll never be in that place again unfortunately. I am so grateful & lucky to have seen "The Guv'nor" of guitar as many times as I had. After he passed away, I was feeling every negative feeling anyone could experience. I was devastated. The one thing that helped get me thru the pain was all the famous guitarists & their comments about Jeff Beck. Basically EVERYBODY loved Jeff Beck as far as his guitar playing but also that he was such a kind & humble person to be around. The only thing he loved more than his self made cars & guitar collection was his widow Sandra. Jeff & Sandra were big time animal activists which is another reason why I respected them so much. I miss him. Always will. But I will never forget him or the extraordinary music he created with his guitar. He was "One of One". We will never see another guitarist like him in our lifetime. RIP Jeff Beck. BTW I saw Tal with Jeff on 3 of those gigs.

Grief affects everyone differently. Interesting listing to Tal explain her process through it. Her explanation of the differences of grief for family members and her music world connections. I don't know if I totally understand my current grief, but this has helped. I first saw her playing with Jeff but didn't know who she was. To me it was obvious that there was a deep connection between the two. Music does that.

I recently lost my sweet Jacky - my first dog when I was living on my own - a Jack Russell Terrier with the spirit of a thousand bolts of lightning. I miss her so much. I don't want to conflate the grief of missing a fellow human, but it's honestly the worst grief I've ever felt - including people in my life. I'm trying to find that healthy epiphany Tal seemed to allude to, but that moment hasn't materialized (yet). The finality of it is so overwhelming. Tal is a very cool person. RIP: Jeff Beck. The talent that graces us through these people is amazing.

From 2000 to 2013 I hung out with local musicians, artists, poets, scientists, Ph.Ds, and authors. People have different perspectives and perceptions. My profession for 40 years was designing and building custom wood products for many engineers in Silicon Valley. 3 World Famous singer-songwriters came and played in our community, because the carefulcarpenter inspired them on messageboards. Not one podcaster has as me for an interview. 😊 I discovered something that both scientists and artists seek but never put there fingers on. Pure creative thought is a mystery.

Tal is a Jewish person Mr. Fridman is a Jewish person and here is a quote from Jeff Beck. "Beck's maternal grandmother was Jewish; he has said that he considers himself Jewish because he was "raised celebrating Jewish holidays".. It would seam only Bob Dylan is not Jewish . Why are Jewish people so talented ? Great leader like Benjamin Netanyahu and Anthony Blinkin Americas Janet Yellen who is responsible for the American prosperity are all talented Jewish People. It would appear I am the only Jew/ israeli who has never amounted to a hill of beans.

During that interview was Mr. Fridman sick or something like that? The man was awful for the most part of it! Head down sometimes, twisting his pen on his fingers. Barely smiling. What a cold and dry interview he conducted. Barely any signs of emotion! On some occasions his unusual behavior gave us the impression that he was just about to fall asleep! Completely the opposite from Tal Wilkenfeld, whom, by the way, is a doll with a very profound notion of been an outstanding sensitive human being, besides an exceptional musician and singer.
