OUR STORY:
We're Tal & Mads - a Nurse & Teacher couple from Toronto, Canada who fell in love while traveling the world together. When we adopted our dog Bowie, we decided the best way to continue traveling would be in our self built camper van, Billie. We hit the road in January 2022 and drove all the way through the United States and into Mexico. We thought creating vlogs would be a great way to keep our friends and family updated while being a wonderful memento of our travels. And now, here we are sharing anything and everything that we think will make you smile.

I've lived with severe chronic illness and chronic pain issues for 16 years. Thanks so much for acknowledging our struggles when so few people do, especially if they are the "invisible illnesses" that plague so many of us. That said, whenever I get a stomach bug and the subsequent intestinal issues, nothing on Earth will get me to leave my house and my own bathroom until I'm sure it is over. I'm glad you are both on the path to recovery. I enjoy your travels and the "adventures of Bowie" immensely.

Hope your well. You both remind when my husband and i were that sick and stuck in bed for few days together. We only could eat Chinese chicken noodle soup and it was delicious. We slept so much. So glad you're both feeling better! I can't imagine two people with a stomach virus in a tiny space like that, and like you said, without plumbing. How you were feeling about being in the hotel room is exactly where I'm at right now. After only a year and a half of van life, I'm ready to go back to traveling on a part time basis.....in hotel rooms...I love my van, but the challenges have exceeded the rewards for me, and I'm just...tired. I was so sad seeing "my girls" feeling so bad. It was lucky?? you took turns getting sick and were better able to take care of each other. It was so wonderful seeing how the local community helped to care for you in their own special way. Bowie made a great PA; puppy licks are the best.
