My dad and I built a separate apartment for me in my parents' former farm house back when I was in my early twenties. We went from bare attic to livable space with kitchen, bath, sleeping loft and living room in six months. So yes, I know how much work this was and how little a 20 minute video really does it justice. You two did an amazing job! Have an awesome week! ~Maarten

I kind of know what you mean. They do seem to be a bit all over the place lately with too many projects going on all at once and none of them really being completed. The main cabin, the small cabin by the lake, the house in Mexico, the travel etc. Pretty soon they will have to employ staff to maintain all of these places/projects. I just fear they are trying to do too much all at once and will either burn out or just lose focus. I suppose that's the downside of KZbin success, you can lose sight of what it was that drew people to your channel in the first place. I don't know. I still like the channel but maybe not as much as I used to. Also we will probably get blasted by comments because it seems to me lately that opinions are not welcomed anymore by other subscribers unless it ties in with their opinions.

From your very first cabin video I saw, I wondered why you removed the bricks from behind the wood stove. Even if you don't like brick, putting something like a beautiful granite slab behind the stove gives you a heat sink. 8 or 10 hours of the wood stove heating your home and that brick or rock is 150+ degrees... and radiates heat back into the house for hours. It's free heat.
