Thank you for this I am 26 weeks and just found out my little guy has one I was very uneasy leaving the Dr today even though he told me not to worry but this video has given me some comfort. My first child suffered from HIE at birth but made a full recovery just the thought of something on this baby's brain brought me back painful memories of my first born.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It is always so hard going through a pregnancy and birth after a difficult previous experience. Every little thing can cause PTSD and it's always so difficult feeling we have so little control over the situation. Unilateral single CP cysts are very common and mostly completely benign. Try to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and good luck! Thanks for watching!!

This gave me more peace than anything. My daughter has one found at the 20 week scan. US tech specifically got very good shots of her opened hands and her feet. Heart was beautiful. I chose not to do genetic testing in the beginning as I felt it would make me anxious.

I am 19 weeks pregnant and my baby have choroid plexus cysts 10×5mm and 9×5mm on right and left side respectively . what is next step? What shall I do? continue pregnancy or terminate it
@TalaTalksNICU4 жыл бұрын
Hello Dhananjay. It sounds like you have an excellent OB who has found these cysts and given measurements, so definitely trust their opinion about the next steps. An anatomy scan and possibly genetic testing would probably be helpful to guide you. Good luck

We can't really comment on individual cases, but realise these can be common and completely benign. It sounds like your doctors are following along well!

@TalaTalksNICU4 жыл бұрын
Congratulations on your wife's pregnancy. It is good your OB noted these. Sometimes more than one cyst can be associated with genetic anomalies, but obviously I can't speak to this as I don't have any details. Follow with your OB to see whether there are any concerns. Good luck!
