Important information- like cerebrum has no lymphatic tissue for drainage of waste products. Function and anatomy, description of where CSF is produced as well of its composition, H2O, amino acid, glucose, cushion function. I like it . Quite sequential

I was wondering how the CSF *in the spinal cord* is circulated, but I found out that there is a hole at the *bottom* of the central canal of the spinal cord, which allows the CSF to exit into the sub-arachnoid space there. I'm still not sure how it then circulates from that part of the sub-arachnoid space on up to the venous sinuses to be returned to the blood supply.

This was excellent! I'd seen references that the choroid plexus was inside the ventricles, but also that it resides in the pia mater, which was confusing me. Telling us that it invaginates *from* the pia *into* the ventricles helps a lot, but I don't see exactly *how* , as pia covers the *surface* of brain, and ventricles are *inside* . I can almost see how they might be in contact at the brain stem at the pons, but not so well elsewhere. Can you help clear up how pia is in contact with ventricles?

@@mustafaal-ghezi1757 Ok, I found a sort of an answer, although I'm still not sure *exactly* where it is: there is a part called the *tela choroidea* , which apparently provides the pia, and here is another Kenhub webpage which contains more information, though not as far as I can see as to where exactly the pia originally *comes* from: www.kenhub.com/en/library/anatomy/choroid-plexus And here is a wiki article about it, but I still don't see where the *pia* mater *comes from* ! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tela_choroidea

Bonjour, Vidéo intéressante dans la cadre de mes recherches sur la maladie d'Arnold Chiari. Je vois souvent un manque de clarté, une confusion entre le foramen de Magendie et l'Obex du canal épendymaire. Il ne faut pas oublier que le système ventriculaire continue jusqu'en bas de la moelle épinière à l'intérieur, c'est le canal épendymaire. Tout en bas de ce canal, il y a des capteurs de pression. Comme un baromètre, le canal épendymaire fin et étroit joue un rôle important de retrocontrôle.

Any info on adult cysts in the choroid plexus? I had 3 brain operations on a pineal cyst. Had my pineal gland removed due to complications. Now i have cysts in choroid plexus. (hopefully just cysts and not a tumor). Waiting for confirmation from Neuro surgeon. Thank you.

I think this is more of a "people trying not to die in A&P class" kinda video, not as specific as what you're looking for. I'm really sorry about your cysts though. That sounds.... complicated and expensive.

Recent studies in mice has shown that the brain actually most likely does contain lymphatics, now called Glymphatics...
