Lol JT's face killed me when he was judging Dionysus Dance Practice, not tryna hate but your friend does NOT know what he is saying, that was a 10/10 for sure if not more. I don't know what he meant by "the energy wasn't there, they're just doing the moves" cuz the energy was certainly there and the vibe of the song is about being drunk hence why they vibes like that. Maybe if he knew the concept/meaning of Dionysus he'd have a difference of opinion as it fit the song perfectly in my opinion. Ain't no 7/10 lmao what? I could tell ya'll were a little shocked/disappointed too because everyone knows that is one of their best DP that produced one of their best Live performance to date. Of course the second one would GIVE cuz it was a dance "performance" which is why it felt like WOD level because that's exactly what it was supposed to give, can't compare a dance performance to a dance practice as they're two completely different things. PS: I might be a lil pressed lol but appreciate his honest opinion sha.

I disagree with you, I thought that the Dionysus practice did look like a practice, when you compare the energy to the live performances. And I thought that the second "practice" which was a rebuttal to some terrible camera work one time that made them look bad, was not the best choice to show the dance friend. I think he does know what he was talking about, just my opinion.

totally, I 100% agree with you. I think what maybe also had an impact were the camera angels: In dionisos the camera was really far away and you couldn't see their faces and expressions. I can't quite understand what he says cuz honestly the energy-level in the dance practice was extremely high (maybe just my opinion🤷🏻‍♀️)

Maybe your friend doesn't know who Dionysus is, that's why he failed to understand the concept. BTS is very good at interpreting their lyrics into dance. I like to see him dance to Fake Love or DNA or Dionysus.

African dancers practice a lot too. Just the dance styles would be different so getting it down will take a while maybe. But in the end I'm sure he saw how talented they r.I haven't watched this yet. When I do, I'll add more since I haven't heard his comments. 💜 I would like to see him dance too. He definitely doesn't know the song lyrics and commented on the dance and song. Maybe he plays anime so he connected the music to it? You can only say what you know. He seems to have just started listening to bts with them. He isn't judging them harshly either. He's not lavish with compliments where needed. Nor should we judge him harshly. Yes, wanna see him dance if he's commenting on their dancing as well. It will be a treat. Or maybe he has it on his insta. 🤷

Always watch things in context. The second video was made as a f-u to a awards show that screwed up the entire filming of that performance so BigHit recorded this with "Good Camera" as a this is how its done. Second, both performances are for completely different genre's and the theme of the performances are different. Every performer knows you perform according to he piece you are dancing too. BTS rarely halfs anything especially the filmed dance practices. I wish you would explain this to him....but should you have too?? That Dyonisis is no 7....fan or no! Thats just thinking you're better than someone else...sorry.

the thing about bts is they stay true to the reason for the dance. dionysus is about being drunk (on art) but there are references to literally taking alcohol shots. hence, the drunk chaos. ;) it's gorgeous. the next video was a shot to the camera directors in korean shows - they really came out with a vid to show how to take good camera angles for dance. there are so many great dance practice videos of bts. :)

For all the toxic people: he can give them the note he wants because it is his opinion so please be respectful. He is a talented dancer too, just go and watch his videos in his channel. You can agree with him or not but you have to be always respectful. He is in the level to judge them. We know that BTS are very talented and they don't just dance but they interpret their songs so they act, sing and dance at the same time. For someone that doesn't understand the concept in Dionysus would think they don't have energy (they have it in dance practice and live performance while singing live) so please don't write bad comments. He has an honest opinion and that's what we want from him. We don't want fake people. We want him to give us his honest opinion. The fact that he give them a 7 doesn't make them less talented. It's not being toxic dear. It's just like you said a difference of opinion. We're just saying, we also don't agree with his opinions. BTS dance are highly interpretative based on concept, song, lyrics to tell one cohesive story, even if the beat may sometimes throw you off ( which is intentionally done) and they never disappoint! Everything they do is there for a reason. That's what makes Bangtan truly special.

not trying to be rude, but your friend was not correct at all about Dionysus. The dance was perfect as it fits the lyrics and that’s what matters the most, the choreography needs to go well with the song and lyrics or else it won’t make sense, remember bts are artists and a band and not just dancers. Hoseok and Jimin have a lot of experience and they know exactly what they are doing (so do the rest of the boys but I’m mentioning those two since they have danced for most of their life).

Is he solo of part of group .?! also I think guys should show him more bts choreography .not just practice dance but live show. Like for example Dionysus mma2019(he will see other level of energy) I don't know what you showed him before ..or how much information he had about bts.... listen I m army since 6 years ...the guy didn't do anything or said Thiers bad he just said his honest pov (better then faking ) ...you need to know yes bts are talented and legend right know in music industry.... But that don't mean that there are perfect or can not be criticise or judge for Thiers work ...note that professional in music or dance will give more. Honest objective pov then normal peoples /fan (you pov and what you see...is not what they see) ..in opposite bts had achieved all success because of Thiers talents passion efforts + help guidance from Thiers agency . this dionysus dance practice is close to 6 minutes long with several major prop changes/uses which requires ridiculous coordination and focus. the performance is also a VOCAL one with dance, they are not just a dance group. based on your friend’s dance videos (great street style btw), none of which are more than a couple of minutes long and are not large group choreo that needs to facilitate vocal performance, i think he may be forgetting to consider those factors i mentioned. i don’t know if he has experience in those situations, i’m just making assumptions on the work he chose to upload, people tend to showcase their best work online. hope you do more dance videos, especially the older ones, including the sbs one 😊

I agree with dance friend, when you compare the Dionysus practice vs live, the energy is not the same. They go all out in the live! Plus I don't think you can see them really well in that practice, it is mostly so far away. Also I wish they would have shown him some different practices (Dope, Fire, Not Toda etc) instead of that old Camera rebuttal video. But thank you!

You should show him DNA, Blood Sweat and Tears, Idol, Spring Day, and ON dance practices. I feel like these ones show more dancing, although it isn't always about the dancing. You have to know the meaning of the song to know that the dance ties perfectly to it. In my opinion, the ones that you showed him should have been described before he watched them. Dionysus doesn't have a lot of dancing for a reason. That is the way it was choreographed and the way it should be. Dionysus is absolutely AMAZING and I do NOT mean this in a hurtful way, but he should have been told what they meant and not judged them without looking at the reason behind the song. And both of the videos you showed him have meaning! Like always! The second one especially. You can't just base what you think of it before knowing what it is about. I was super exited to watch this video but when I watched it and saw the way he was reacting, I was disappointed. I don't mean this in a hurtful way AT ALL! I LOVE your videos and I love your guy's reactions! I just feel as though he should have been told what the songs meant beforehand. You should show him some other dance practices, that will show their dancing skills too. And explain things to him about them, if needed. Love you guys!!

Yeahh..at first when he said they've no energy and just doing the moves...i can tolerate it..but after another video...i just...ughh....ik he just commenting his own opinion but ....ughh idk its just i dont feel right about the comment....no hate but i really want him to know bts more and learn how powerful they are..
