Maybe she's just tired of doing the show. This is her last season after all. I didn't think she was being cold, I thought she was more disinterested. The whole audition felt very produced, I mean they obviously made Katy ask her certain things, like, "You grew up in Maine?" to get the whole adoption story out there.

She is an amazing talent. But the judges were right in their critique of her show-stoppers performance. She doesn't need to go big all the time, her audition was one of the best ever on Idol (and I have been watching since Season 1) because she so skillfully matched the big notes with her beautiful, sonorous tones. I hope she finds the best songs to do that, and yes then she can easily win this whole thing.
