I had a thought that if I could only listen to one person play music and sing for the rest of my life it would be Kodi Lee. When he sings his voice and music goes straight into my heart. I feel that he is thinking about every word he sings. It doesn't seem like he's singing words. He's singing the words with the meaning and the feeling that goes together. I am completely astonished at how amazing he is. I think even if he had no disabilities I would feel the same way about his music. There's something inside of him that runs so deep that I can feel his music in my heart. Even the simplest songs that I've heard him sing does the same thing to me. What an amazing guy!!! And I'm so grateful to his mother and family for loving him enough to let him go after his dreams. The fact that his speech improved so much after his first audition tells me that he was motivated in a way he hadn't been in the past. Somebody this brilliant and deep must have felt isolated from the world. That's not good for anybody. Once he got in front of AGT and realized he wasn't alone anymore it was like his spirit had a chance to expand and the rest of him went along. I'm always impressed with people who are prodigies. It doesn't mean they don't practice. It just means there's something built into their system that is capable of going beyond what even talented people can get to with the same amount of work or more. To me prodigies are special people and the fact that there is a way for them to be seen by the world is a gift that we give back to them. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world Kodi Lee. Cody Lee, his life was already planned out by the Lord. Yes he’s a special man and he’s got his special needs and difficulties, but God gave him that gift. His life is all planned out for all of us. You know the good thing about it is that he’s got a very, very special mom, I commend this lady that’s her child and he will always be special to her and she’ll always take care of him. He’s a gift to the world and he’s sharing his gift with the world that’s another thing that is one of the reasons why I thank God every day Because he’s made us all special in his way not only does he have a plan for us, but our life is already planned out. I saw him do this song live at Fenway Park with the "Stars of the Spectrum" show. I was bawling my eyes out, it was so beautiful. I couldn't help myself. With my face soaked in tears, I blurted out, "I wish David Bowie lived long enough to hear this, he would've been crying, too." Savant syndrome AND perfect pitch!! I can sing and play piano, but not anywhere near as amazing as him. Hats off to you, sir!
