She certainly has big voice, but we don't need the next Beyonce, or another Jennifer Hudson. My hope is that Alyssa finds her individuality, inspires to innovate her talent and shed the adoration of her heroes to become her own hero in music, to be the first Alyssa Wray. The problem with the music scene is that newer artists don't stand out. They certainly rely on heavy PR funded by the record company, and 20 producers making them sound better than they do, but these hopefuls are stripped of anything that makes them unique or special. They don't write their songs, they don't come up with any ideas. These days you can't tell Adele from Lorde.

She has a lot of potential, but she needs a good vocal coach. Her slow, expressive singing is good, but the top with all the screaming and overuse of runs she gets pitchy and it is not fine-tuned. But she will be really good with time and GOOD coaching.

A strong start for a 18 year old, with no experience. I hope she can withstand the onslaught of over 100 producers, writers, recording engineers, investors, record labels HACKING her essence to death to find / make her the next Beyonce, Adele, Pink, Madonna etc...... She has a big voice, excellent control, and depth. However, I didnt feel the emotions due that come from "Holla" singers.....and that comes with experience. At 18, she has none. Beyonce is personality over talent, dont kid yourself....Jennifer Hudson is a better singer than Beyonce....dont go dropping Beyonces name like she is the upper echelon of voices, when she really is not . Beyonce is an all world talent based on the sum if all parts ...this young woman has that same package its only time that will tell if her voice is the driving force of that package. Vocally beyonce is not Aretha, or Hudsun or Houston, but she write the book on présence.
