Glennis is really good but she's no match for Whitney at her absolute best. On my channel I uploaded the greatest live vocal Whitney has ever done (in my opinion) and it will leave you stunned in disbelief. It isn't widely known outside of her diehard fanbase. You must put on headphones and let nothing or no-one distract you for 13 mins. It's a 1986 London concert performance of a song called "I am changing", originally sung by Jennifer Holiday in the broadway show DREAMGIRLS. If you're unfamiliar with the song, the lyrics are in the description. Her voice in this performance js absolutely frightening and seemingly unreal/impossible that a 115 pound 23 yr old girl who looks like a runway model could unleash something like this from her vocal chords...in a live capacity to boot. It's a slow burner that culminated into a massive earthquake. She takes her time in the beginning. Jennifer Holdiays original version is 3 mins long but Whitney fleshed it out for a full 13 mins of jaw-dropping, otherworldly, super human LIVE vocals with NO background singers. She's accompanied only by her incredible band who did an amazing job with creating the tension, drama and suspense needed to match her vocals. Just imagine an earth angel, a sorcerer, a missing X-MEN mutant, a 500 foot tall fire breathing dragon incinerating everything in it's path, a 300 pound male opera tenor and a 300 pound female gospel singer--all combined into the voice of a one woman and that is what she sounds like here. Again- you need to wear headphones at full volume for an optimal listening experience. You can easily find the video on my channel. Benny Monaco Yeah, but she sounds like Whitney cause she learned how to do it by listening her. She uses the same Whitney's techniques. Of course she will never sound exactly the same because her tone is a bit less deeper and warmer than Whitney's, but she knows pretty well how to copy Whitney's singing style and thats simply AMAZING. There are to many people who can sing perfect. The real deal is to create good songs. She is just hoping someone will give her a contract and write her songs. She acts like she is just an unknown mom, inspired by her 11 year old son?, weird. She was singing before he was born and continued doing so. I think famous is an over estamated word. She is known that's all. She goes in the line of Trijntje Oosterhuis, Ruth Jacot, Ilse de Lange, Berget Lewis, etc And I do not mean their voices, just to how well they are known in the Neterlands. Singers like Anouk and Esmee Denters you could say are famous. Glennis deserves a lot more than she has now, I agree. But she is still in my opinion stuck with the image of the soundmix show in 1994. The only winner that has evolved from that show and is still active in music is Marco Borsato.

She deserves to be on the same leage as Whitney Houston. She sounds like Whitney because her voice is really like that: pure, powerful, genuine, and perfect.
