the piano keys have a spot that lights up when it's time to press them. the chicken is just trying to eat the light. it's hilarious and probably took some training to get her to keep trying (most birds would give up after a couple pecks), but it's not the same caliber as the other performers and doesn't deserve the same recognition.

They are very nice people; and they've been working on this for ages. They have instruments out in their chicken yards, and encourage them to practice. They had a little band called the "Flock Stars" I got a little fisher price piano for mine, and she performed at a big pet show playing scales. Hey, she won 2nd place! The dog who won first did all his tricks, over, under, and around her as she sat. He really deserved that first! He'd never seen a chicken before, but did absolutely what and where he was told regardless of her presence. Good doggo! Unless chickens are natural show-offs, it's hard to get them to perform before large crowds of people and bright lights. Unfortunately, they do not live long enough to practice more than to a certain point. But they can be amazingly capable for their short lives!

I think you're thinking of " One note play".....I had a couple old Casio crap keyboards back in the day that had the feature. Whichever note is pushed, the song advances to the next proper note regardless. Although the chicken is not just pecking the same note, every peck just advances the sequence to the next proper note. Funny effect, but no maestro chicken. Well, my nerd work is done here. Be well.✌️

Well they had to go through the effort of training the chicken for the chicken to be able to do that in general, animal trainers in most cases do alot of work to be able to teach an animal a trick. Especially one like a chicken. So it was the people's skill that made them be there to begin with.
