i have never wanted or needed to leave my home desperately enough to even ride a seat that had no safety belt. it is so easy to ignore what is happening on that border and its just a state away from me. i admit that feeling some weight of shame this AM as i know that will soon lift and i will celebrate the 4th with my country today. then it will be back to business as usual... glutton, greed, excess... am i the only one that can be moved by these stories but snap out of it so quick like a terrible heartless monster? eww that got heavy. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Asset forfeiture. Typically you’ll seize weapons, vehicles, and money that are involved in criminal activity. The money is split between the different levels of government. Usually the primary agency ends up with very little even though they made the bust.

When I was young in the 60's in the RGV, Mexican Braseros would legally cross the Rio Grand on buses ready to work the fields in the US. I remember my Uncle Ovidio, born in the US, yelling at them (wet backs, Mojados). His mother, my grandmother, who became a US citizen late in her life, crossed the river without a problem back in the 30's and had 5 children who worked all their lives, my mother the youngest. The Border Patrol should be allowed to do their job. If Abott is going to have DPS Officers chase illegals, teach at the DPS Acadamy, Border History in detail, Migration in detail, Latin Customs in detail and Provide Proper Clothing for conducting chases on foot in the thorny brush for DPS. If you ever go to Rio Grande City Texas from where I live in Weslaco TX, you will see 20 to 30 DPS Troopers sitting in beautiful Tropper SUVs along Hwy 83, doing nothing.
