Tales of Arise! Opening Animation Reaction!

That OP is so darn good. I've been watching it way too much. The music is good, the animation is on point, and the storytelling is exactly as much as it needs to be. We can pick up little things from the OP and I'm sure some things will only hit harder upon playing the game. But it isn't giving us too much while making sure to build up hype. Exactly what an opening should do. I'm honestly ready for this. It's only a couple months away, but it's going to feel like a long wait with how ready I am to play this.

I kept replaying this OP so many times man. The fact the song "Hibana" is done by the same people who did Black Clover's OP 1 Haruka Mirai (Distant Future) & OP 6 Rakugeki Page made the BC/Tales fan in me squeal like a little teenage girl.

I've seen lot of people saying this opening is underwhelming but I wholeheartedly disagreed. They also said in the live stream that the lyrics would make a lot of sense and leave you thinking after playing the game. From the lyrics I guess this game will focus a lot on Shion and Alphen relationship. Also, Shion's Japanese voice actress cried after she watched the opening for the first time. She said it made her think and reminded her of some of the story parts. I wonder if there will be some tear jerking moments in this game too... I hope it gets a happy ending.

Its definitely one of those ops tht gets better as u watch it more often. I was kinda eh on the song choice but quickly warmed up to it after a few listens lol

Liked this intro but i still love Tales of Xillia Jude intro ... can't wait to play this game

I would probably rank this either 2nd or 3rd for Tales openings to date personally. 1st is Burn from Berseria while 2nd is either this or Karma from Abyss and then 3rd would be this or Karma. Definitely haven't been more excited for a game since Berseria...granted some of my excitement was ruined by the fact i refuse to buy the collector's edition even though i have bought all since Xillia due to the price for the NA CE being ridiculous, 189 bucks and it still doesn't get the 4/5 dlc packs other regions are getting while it's being charged not that much lower than other county's CEs value....it should've have exceeded 130...150 at most...then throw in taxes and shipping and to get it day 1 guaranteed you'd be spending 250 bucks on it....and in the end the only thing in there (besides dlc which id didn't have) that i'd want would've just been the art book.

@@knuckles7995 Yup...July 10 when i'm posting this so 60/59 days left...both so short yet so long lol. Been playing Scarlet Nexus (another Namco game) and so far it just became my current top spot for game of the year 2021 (Ys 9 was holding it since i played that in Feb-March) but i expect Tales of Arise will take it it from Scarlet Nexus in the end since while SN is a great game it's sorely lacking in side content and skipped over some events that i think should've been in the game...granted it has 2 routes for both the male and female MC and i only got through the male MC's route but from what i've heard the amount of content is mostly the same for both routes. Tales also has a huge advantage in that it is my favorite video game franchise ever since Symphonia in 2014/15. So ya Arise is likely gonna be my goty unless something comes out from left field that overtakes it (not impossible as i expected Cold Steel 4 to win goty 2020 last year but it wound up being overtaken by 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim as my goty 2020 and Trails is my second favorite series after Tales...only reason i can think of that happening is if the story of Arise winds up being meh (don't look like it though...looks like it'll be Berseria, Symphonia, Abyss quality (which are the top 3 stories in the series imo with Symphonia on the top) or if i don't like the combat much (didn't like arte trees from Graces, Zesty, Bersy but this isn't using arte trees but at the same time isn't really going back to the old method either...3 of the face buttons will be for 1 arte each with the caveat that 1 button gets both a ground and air arte slotted in...so that's 6 artes total...granted they suggested you would be able to hold L1 plus the face button for another 6 artes so that'd be 12 total...still feels kind of a small amount of artes tbh...especially after Xillia's 16 to up to 48 with Ludger).
