I cant get over how much story older comics had in them. Today this one story would have been stretched out to like 15 issues

Given how regularly he's pulled out other trick arrows that were specifically designed to take on specific enemies like Ultron or the Radioactive Man, Hawkeye having an Ultimate Nullifier Arrow would actually not be out of character for him. Well, for the old version of him that was the slightly goofy yet hard-working, intelligent, and creative leader. The new version who's cold and angry to better match his Ultimate and MCU personas not so much.

It is kinda fun to imagine how these stories might have still happened in modern times. For example, instead of working for the KGB, Natasha might have been working for an illegal splinter of them that refused to dissolve with the fall of the USSR.

I hate how so many people thinks Hawkeye sucks. He went on to form his own team of Avengers and led the West Coast Avengers for many years. He is a very awesome character. My only issue is that he a terrible bland costume now instead of his cool purple one.

Is it weird that I enjoy the original concept of Tony Stark pretending Iron Man was his bodyguard? It led to some fun situations and was a surprisingly plausible excuse compared to most. Wouldn't mind if the concept was reused for a new hero.

One of the things I love about Hawkeye is not only is he a character without any powers, but he's also a character without money. Almost every other well known non powered superhero has boat loads of cash to supplement their lack of powers. Batman, Green Arrow, Iron-man. Hawkeye is one of the only well known non-powered every man characters I can think of.

Well there is The Question who the first was a TV news anchor and the second a cop. Booster Gold didn't start out rich either and worked his butt of to get money. They foolishly gave Jonah Hex powers in his movie which is why it sucked. Also you have the time Flash's Rogues went good and same goes for Riddler. On the Marvel side you have Black Widow, The Punisher, and Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, Falcon and Black Cat for a while along with Kaa-zar

TheRichandmighty A lot of those are also very minor not well known characters. I'm not dissing them at all, as they are all good characters. But aside from Widow (who has always been funded by a government), and Punisher who i will grant you also doesn't have money. Most of them sadly are only known by more hardcore fans.

It could have made more sense if it was foggy and Ironman kind of needed a higher altitude to get a better viewpoint, but then the planes problem comes up, cutting him off at either option.

That remark Tony made about not finding love life because of his chest plate is a theme I've noticed in older comics, where characters keep lamenting they can't have a "real life" because they're "crippled" and "useless". That was a common regret Matt Murdock had, Peter pushed everyone away in one comic where he lost the use of his legs, Xavier a couple times said he couldn't be with anyone because he was wheelchair-bound, and in a story where Spider-Man couldn't cure the time he grew extra arms, he considered himself incapable of having a personal life and dedicated himself to raising awareness for "disabled people". I guess it goes to show just how exclusive society was considered before things like the internet brought people together.

Oh and in case anyone's wondering, the reason Natasha Romanoff is no longer "on the run" like she was at the end of Tales of Suspense #52 is actually quite simple. In the next issue it was explained that the Soviets didn't want to appear weak in front of both Iron Man and the U.S. knowing that one of their top agents failed and decided to give her another chance. However, tensions would grow between Natasha and the Iron Curtain, and she would later defect.

Not because it had been picked up, pointed at it's intended victims and someone else had pulled the trigger. HYDRA had the Starks killed by using Bucky as their weapon, just as Joe Chill had the Waynes killed by using a gun as his weapon. Iron Man is a goddamn genius. NOT! Iron Man is a drunked idiot who can't tell the difference between a gun and the people pulling the trigger of the gun. If I went on a killing spree on the MCU, Iron Man would only take my guns away and let me go scott free while claiming it were guns I used that killed people, not me.

Re Hawkeye reverse engirring Tony's Army, considering a MIt Student did it in the present, and Hawkeye built his own stuff in a day, and hell me, who is a programming major NOT electrica engineering have figured out how to recreate (and improve) a number of toys just by taking them apart and studying them for a couple months, AND given we don't get a time scale for Hawkeye's reverse engineering, I can totally see him EVENTUALLY reverse engineering THAT version of tony's armor. Hell I've prototyped a Titanium morpher with custom lights and sounds and a customizable duel TFT screen SPD morpher. I can totally buy that given enough time, and again no time scale was specified, Hawkeye could reverse enginers tony's armor to make better trick arrows and armor

First, I don't know if Green Arrow was a member of the JLA at the time, so I could be wrong, but maybe Marvel thought: "Hey, wouldn't be cool if we had an evil version of that Green Arrow fellow?" But one thing led to another, and Hawkeye became a hero, and a even more blatant counterpart of Green Arrow.

So did all Marvel superheros get their own adjectives in the silver age? That's all well and good when you get names like "The Mighty Thor" or "The Invincible Iron Man" or "The Immortal Iron Fist" but it won't be long before you've used up all the good adjectives and are forced to use words like "Uncanny". Seriously no-one uses that word unless they're referring to one person's physical resemblance to another. I've been reading Spider-Girl and it seems like Stan was trying to push "Stunning Spider-Girl". I'm surprised the doc isn't "The Illustrious Doctor Strange"
