So the thing is that Luke somehow managed to drug Guy so he couldn't make it to the battle, dressed himself up as Asch, and then the battle commenced. Jokes aside, the music was just way more fitting than it really should have been for this battle. lol

Wait, how did you activate mystic arte with Fang Blade, which is a base art, not Arcane?

As long as your combo chain has an arcane arte in it, you can use any arte to activate. Iirc the game translated special a bit too vague so it made it sound like only Arcanes can trigger it, which is true, but not the whole picture lol (as FoFs also work). Exceptions to this being Magic based MAs and obviously specific MAs that need specific artes to be used (Brilliant Overlord needing Final Cross, etc)

Yup, he won't counter as long as he isn't standing on the ground so there is definitely multiple ways to set up the MA in that sense.

Asch: the protagonist we wanted but apparently not the one we deserved. (Well, in terms of fighting ability, at least.) I always found it so weird how he says "replica" before the battle. I mean, his facial expression doesn't even change (due to the software limitations, I guess?).
