And she’s directed a few episodes of The Mandalorian. I love how much of a Star Wars nerd she is. I hope to see more of her as new Star Wars content continues to come out.

Loved how all of Dooku’s episodes revolve around the theme of corruption. Makes sense why he left and went down his path especially after Qui-Gons death. Makes me feel that was the pushing point for him commiting to Sidious. Also, the scene where him and Yaddle walked away after Qui-Gon left he was walking towards the darkness and she was walking towards the light. Love it

At this point Dooku had already left the Jedi Order (roughly 10 yrs ago) But because he left on good terms he was always welcome in the temple and was still adressed as Master Dooku. But thats why he had to use Sifo Dyas security codes.

@@WrathMania32 it is Dooku left the Jedi Order in 42 bby, 10 years before the phantom menace, which is set in 32 bby (source: Star Wars - Timelines) he left on good terms with the order and was even allowed to keep his lightsaber (source: Star Wars - Dooku: Jedi Lost) and he visited the temple semi regularly, was addressed by his old title by the Jedi and still had regular contact to Qui-Gon (source: Star Wars - Padawan)

I love how "Tales of the Jedi" & the audiodrama "Dooku: Jedi Lost" and the novel "Master and Apprentice" all work together to paint a more and more complete picture with the prequel movies of how the Jedi lost their way bit-by-bit and it was, ironically, because of Dooku's mentorship, that Qui-Gon also started to see the Jedi's shortcomings, but wanted to try to change the system from within by getting on the Council, whereas Dooku saw no way to fix it. I think it also goes to show that Palpatine was more of an opportunist who expertly exploited the faults and failures of others to manipulate them for his own gain, rather than just be a master schemer who planned everything from the start. I starting to think now that Palpatine may not have expected so many different things to have happened, but may have just gotten really lucky at the misfortunes of the Jedi and improvised as he went along. I also wonder that if Yaddle had escaped to her ship and went back to the Council, would they have even listened or were already too blinded by their own ignorance and arrogance?
@Jeddxh
@Jeddxh Жыл бұрын
Imo I think Yaddle knew the council would not listen to her without proof being as both Dooku and Palps were widely respected within the Republic. That’s why I think she wanted Dooku to help her bring Palps to justice because she knew that without her seat on the council she was just another jedi master blindly serving a corrupt senate. It’s interesting to me tho that she went there with no plan at all. Following Dooku and finding out that he’s now rogue she didn’t even have a communicator with anybody relaying her location. Granted the council was on Naboo at the time but I’m sure there was some jedi of importance at the temple? Idk I’m guessing hers and Dooku’s relationship is maybe more than what we got from Tales and that’s why she trusted that Dooku would join her side over Sidious’🤷🏻‍♂️

@@Jeddxh I actually thought the same thing myself about why Yaddle did not report in her location and tell them something...anything...on her communicator. Of course, maybe she thought time was of the essence and she had to act herself quickly and if she took time to report in, she might be overheard by Dooku or he and Palpatine would escape?? But, I did think Yaddle was just going to do some recon and report back to the Council, but I do think she honestly thought she could talk Dooku into returning with her. But, once it became clear he was trying to kill her, I would've just tried to escape. I do wonder, if Yaddle did try to get to her ship, if she could have escaped or if Dooku would have actually let her go. IDK, it kinda seemed almost like Dooku was still conflicted and may have let her go if she had tried??

@@hanziggy6862 I don’t think Dooku would’ve been allowed to let Yaddle leave and if he did Palps would’ve corrected it somehow. I think he had more than just luck, sure he had a lot of it but he was a very calculated man who knew the insides and out of the republic senate. He had more intel on everything than anybody else. I think Dooku killing Yaddle cemented himself into the dark side but he was always conflicted on the path he chose I think similar to how Anakin felt in his later years when he became Vader. There’s no way Palpatine would’ve allowed Yaddle to leave knowing of his existence, the entire Clone Wars is based on the deception that Dooku is actually the Sith Lord that the Jedi council is looking for; running everything from behind the scenes. And all of that takes the focus off Palpatine who’s really the one orchestrating everything.
@hanziggy6862
@hanziggy6862 Жыл бұрын
@@Jeddxh You are absolutely right. Palps wouldn't have let Yaddle go even if Dooku did and Dooku was probably scared of what Palpatine would do to him if he did not do something. To me, it even seemed like Dooku was apologetic. Yeah, I guess the word "lucky" was not really the right word. He definitely had a plan and is a schemer, but I think he knew how to improvise and know when to let go of his original plan and use what was at his disposal and exploit other's weaknesses. I could be wrong, but I think Anakin, for example, was 1 of those unplanned things that just worked in his favor due to the Jedi's own bungling. Even in Rise of Skywalker........spoilers.........he admitted Leia interfered with and technically, ruined his plans and he had to change his plans.

@@hanziggy6862 I agree Dooku definitely was conflicted in that moment it felt like he was killing off a friend in Yaddle, his last true tie to the Jedi order after Qui-Gons death. He probably knew how ruthless Palpatine was which goes to show how scary he is. Dooku feared more of what he could do alone against what the entire jedi council would do to him. Similar to in Clone Wars when Palpatine pulled up on Maul and Savage. Homie had to remind them of their place and was very ruthless against them. Killed Savage and retormented Maul or whatever. Palpatine knew to take care of his loose ends. Anakin may have been unplanned somewhat especially his turning on the emperor in ROTJ. And I haven’t read the books but I’ve heard that the Plagueis book kinda talks about how he and Palpatine “manifested” the midichlorians in the force to create Anakin(no identified father). I could be wrong on that tho like I said I haven’t read the book as idk if it’s confirmed canon or to remain apart of the canon plan. Someone could correct me👇🏼

The only problem with this episode is that palatine was @ the funeral of quigon when he told Anakin "we will be keeping an eye on your progress"- this episode actually doesn't fit unless palatine left right after
