The key to saving STAR WARS. (I hope someone at Lucasfilm actually reads this!) If they would leave Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, and their team alone, and quit trying to micro-manage the writers and producers. Along with giving us series nobody wants to read or see (The High Republic Books & The Acolyte) Stick to fan favorites, tell me you would not love to see Keanu Reeves, I won't believe you for a second! That and ANY of the STAR WARS: The old Republic stories, all great work we would love to see as movies or tv shows. With the new "Volume" tech they use in the Mandalorian & Asoka they could cut cost 50% by not having to take cast, crew & equipment & props around the world to exotic locations. Say the jungles of Hawaii or the Deserts of Tonisha adding millions to the budgets of each project. Use the tools at hand, treat your writers, cast & crew with respect. Qui-Gon: The force is not light or dark Luke, it is balance. Seek it not perfect it. Best line.
@savagenature16 күн бұрын
Funny enough, I think that's the one line that doesn't fully align with Qui-Gon Jinn. Though he is flexible in his beliefs, Qui-Gon does in fact believe that there is a Light and Dark Side and believes that early on one must decide which they will serve. This video sums it up rather well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZCpnoSVabOshc0
@The_Real_Mr_Al6 күн бұрын
@@savagenature1 True that line actually does not correspond to George Lucas worldbuilding for Star Wars. To him "balance" did not mean some kind of grey ying and yang area, but by being with the Light and cleansing it of the dark, while not going to the other extreme end either. Qui-Gon was most assuredly one of the most effective Light-sided Jedi because he knew to not give in to the darkness while rejecting extreme dogma. Luke and Qui-Gon were very rare in that they were self-aware of the imperfection of human nature, yet sought to be at peace with it rather than fight it or despair about it. Over all ideas that I as a Christian Star Wars fan very much enjoy. TLDR other than that one line and the music being too loud to hear the dialogue at some points, this video is very well made!

Ok, I keep hearing Sidious "feared" Quigon. Where is this found? When did he say that?
@fenrirgaming375 күн бұрын
@@FJohn-i9w Was never said, but implied in books and comics that are canon. He considered Qui-Gon a threat to his plans, precisely because Qui-Gon was a true Jedi that followed the Living Force, letting it guide him rather than trying to control it like most other Jedi. Qui-Gon was also more proactive than most other Jedi, getting involved and stopping many evils from happening. This likely also impacted many of Palpatine's plans, but it wasn't until the events of the Phantom Menace that he could take action, likely because until then, Sidious's influence hadn't been strong enough before then. It's been implied and many have pointed out that if Qui-Gon had survived, and been the one to train Anakin, then Anakin would have been provided with everything he needed: a father figure, a person that would understand him as he needed, compassion, and most importantly of all, Qui-Gon likely would have noticed Anakin's attachment to Padme, and rather than discouraging it, would have quietly encouraged it, as Qui-Gon knew instinctively that letting go of all emotions would only make one blind to danger.

These all give me goose bumps. I got into Star Wars as the prequels were coming out, but it was Luke who enticed me as a child. Not Obi-wan or Anakin like so many who grew up then. Seeing what they did to Luke in the sequels hurt me as he was my hero. THis is the Luke I needed to see, even if it was and older one. I was excited at the end of TFA...then TLJ came out and he threw his lightsaber away....the entire film felt off from that point on.
@shade88164 күн бұрын
@@otysafiry It really did. In the extended universe, he trained people from all walks of life. He wasn't perfect, and there were troubles, but he never gave up on any of his students. Even the ones who fell hard, he reached a hand out and eventually helped them. While legends didn't always make sense, I liked overall where Luke was going. If they had at least had Luke trapped in some stasis, or on a world that blocked the force and he had no means of communication, or something that would at least properly justify why he just disappeared, I would have been more ok with it. But him just giving up and running away? He wouldn't even give up on his father, and he had loads of reasons to properly do so. I liked the new cast. I felt their characters were fine, and fit well enough into the Star Wars story. The writing hurt both them and the old actors alike. I do think they should have just stuck with Rey being a nobody who was found by chance and got dragged into the mess. But this bit between Luke and Qui-gon... man I wish this was proper canon.

Only one big error in this! For George Lucas, balance can only be achieved by the lightside of the Force. The darkside of the Force only leads to suffering and to a unbalanced pathos. "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, Hate leads to suffering." There is no balance when someone trys to equilibrate their ligth and their dark side. The balance can only be achieved when you use your compassion and wisdom to offer a path of light to someone who is affraid and in pain (like Luke showed to Vader).

When folks say that star wars is dead, this is proof that it is not. Yes it is A.I. animation and voices, but A.I in of itself isn't bad, only when one depends on it entirely. It can be used as a basis, and there is still a person writing these lines, thought provoking lines that have been shown to be scarce in today's version of star wars. There is a fan behind this, a fan that loves star wars and understands what made it so great. Fans generally make better stuff than official media. Why? Because they are fans and fans don't like to see their favorite franchises suck, which is why they tend to put more effort into it, despite having few tools and little money. Much like how lots of modders make great stuff in games than official game developers. As long as there are fans who truly love and understand what made the stories so great, it can never die.

The Skywalker saga wasn't really about armies, space ships, the force, the Jedi or the sith. It was about the bond of love that existed between a father and his son

Considering this is probably made by less than 3 people, this is pretty sick. Good job, especially on the lines.
