Thanks for the review. I think this game has a huge potential and I will say I was slightly disappointed by the number of starting subclasses as well. Other than that, it feels like the design of the game and book was really well thought out and laid out well.

Friendly reminder that this system is meant to be 5e combatible, meaning any 5e content can easily be converted to ToV with their free Conversion Guide, including the absolutely massive library of 3rd party homebrews laying around 🤟

Pretty much a better designed 5E, which is good but not really what I want personally. I also don't like how some classes are significantly worse than their PHB 2024 counterparts, specifically the monk

seems like a complete 5e clone not sure why would care for it other than WOTC BAD tbh, plenty of more interesting TTRPG for people to migrate to.

I felt that way as well. But because they each class has a lot of its clunkyness smoothed out. And spells like hunters mark and her were removed and balanced out to actual class buffs in addition to talents that allow you to crit on a 19 or 20...it's a much smoother and more enjoyable 5e. I felt the Same as you did initially but upon taking a deeper look I ended up changing my mind especially compared to dnd 2024

Similar to Pathfinder 1e and dnd 3.5e, since some people are just really familiar with a system and want to find a way to keep it and find support for it. I'm hoping KP updates it, and TotV 2e becomes it's own identity much like Pathfinder 2e
