Really great and on point review as always G. Talib really has been on a nice little run since him and Diamond D formed, Gotham and released their self-titled collaboration album in 2021. As much as I enjoyed that I think I agree with you on this one being a little more enjoyable and sounding a bit more like Talib being back to form both lyrically and just the overall vibe of this album. The chemistry between him and J. Rawls is what really makes this such a great album too. That all said I would give this a strong 4 mics that I can possibly see going up to 4 1/2 mics and is easily not only one of the best Hip-Hop album’s, but album’s across all music released here in 2024. As a side note this really is the year of one emcee with one producer album’s in Hip-Hop again too. As Joell Ortiz & The Heatmakerz also dropped a single this past Friday and announced they have an album, W.A.R. Coming out in October.
