@@joeyoung1973 They are the minority (which is not small at all), or people with women and daughters in their family. But the men of Afghanistan, and the majority of the population as a whole seem to support the Pashtun Taliban. For what I understand the Pashtun are the largest ethnic group of Afghanistan, so they pretty much represent the people. Unfortunately people that support democracy and freedoms want to leave but they can’t. This is an extremely devastating situation, but it’s rooted in the religious fundamentalism of the average Afghani person. They should have let women fight in the military not the men, the women would have never put their guns down to the Taliban.

I used to work with some self claim Afghan soldiers refugees in the state here. When they work & felt things was getting hard they gave up. Taliban taking over reminds me of these guys I work with. Gotta protect the land no matter the outcome. Sounds like they’re teaming up with the enemies sides.
