The most important thing is swift and uncorrupted justice. For those of us living in the subcontinent we know how hard and expensive it is to get justice especially if it is against influential people. There was a report on France 24 that people travel to taliban areas from govt areas in order to use their courts which are cheap and fast. If taliban provide swift justice, they will not lose. They might not win the war because they can't hold the big cities but they will not lose.

So if we fight for other things like let say spoils of war or to be known for our bravery or salary maybe the intention will be bad and we will end up in hell too if we are killed cause our intention wasn't for Allah(azzawajalla). So here we go to other religion. Allah has forbade one to associate Him with anything and believe He is the only God worth to be worshipped no partners at all and that's is the blunder of other religions. So to conclude Allah(azzawajjalla) is the most merciful but does not forgive who make him partner with other gods(false gods) so one will end up in Hell because of this. I hope I have answered you well.

@Chat Cricket All the religions you see were formerly Muslims who believed in one God and that is Allah(azzawajalla) like the Jews who were prophet Musa's(moses) followers and the Christians too were prophet Isaa's(Jesus) followers. All these are prophet of Allah(azzawajalla) who preached on oneness of Allah and their followers believed them then some other followers destroyed the faith and started doing things are not permissible to Allah. Like saying Jesus is the son of Allah while he is just a prophet. So whenever Allah brings prophets to the world is to correct the past followers of other prophet to the straight path. So first was Nabii Musa(moses) followers the Jews then Issa(Jesus) followers the Christians then Muhammad(Mohamed) followers Muslims (peace be upon these prophets). So the love of Allah comes here when He sees people going astray he brings other prophets to straighten them to the oneness of Allah so they avoid punishments. So it end up Muhammad(peace be upon him) the seal of the prophets. Now here we are, us muslims we also can preach the religion so you guys can get the real point of Islam. Thanks.
