I'm playing a lot less this expansion but I also did Raszageth for the first time with LFR and it was exactly the same. We banded together, we were patient, we kicked people who were basically afk... and we did it! It was amazing. Props to the couple of people who took charge and coached in a non-douche way.

Pasty, you give me hope. I've been trying Raz on LFR for a while now, and every group has been.... an event. People keep dropping the puddled in the middle, people taking any opportunity to complain about everyone else, nobody explains anything beyond "watch more video nub". Even if I'm at the top of my game, paying attention, and multitasking ike a good druid should, it's still wipety wipe wipe. *sigh*... I miss being in a supportive guild.

Yep, that was my experience too. :) It took us 7 attempts I think, and we had some people leave but the ones who stayed were patient and while we waited for the group to fill again (sadly a tank left quite early) we entertained each other with Dad jokes :D

So a thing with oceanic realms, is that the ingame day/night cycle is tied to the American day/night cycle. This means that the sun sets 3pm server time. Which results in daylight being a rare occurrence for a significant number if not the majority of oceanic players, that the azeroth sun may as well not exist.

I just found this page and am super excited! I have been feeling pressure and stress that I'm so far behind in gear, ilvl, reputation, dungeons, etc. To hear Evitel and reading others below are in the same boat is relieving. When you have a full-time job and 3 kids to raise it will take time to build a toon in WoW so I am glad Blizz put some things in place for players like me to use i.e. the tier upgrader. I have felt for a long time that this game was moving away from players like myself. I hope the game has more to offer in the next patches.

For the heritage armour, for humans I actually had an idea of them getting armour which is actually "ancient", meaning they could do something original. My idea had been more along the lines of a chainmail surcoat with customisable greathelm and shoulder options to represent each of the different human nations. What I thought it was going to be was more along the lines of the Arathi plate. What we GOT was... a weird halfway point which isn't terrible, but isn't great. So, we'll see what they do with the feedback.

If you guys were in razageth LFR and denied a rez they don't get it back sadly, in LFR everyones rez is just a normal cooldown, so they use it then it goes on 10 min CD, everyone who has a brez can brez mid combat, so 40 druids could brez 40 times in a LFR fight. Which means denying it does nothing, the spell was already cast. I am PRETTY sure it does not reset the cooldown on that person's brez. But I am not 100% since I am a warlock it may work dif.

It's an amazing expansion and I absolutely LOVE the crafting system. Being able to usefully kit out my army of alts, in a genuinely interesting way, is very satisfying and really good fun!! The new Primal Chaos bags makes things easier too (although 20 Primal Chaos cut?! Ouch) Still love exploring the world, still love 'being' in such a gorgeous place, still enjoying the properly engaging story. Def a contender for my fave Exp thus far. Hooray!! ^^

Hey Tali! You don't need the storm sigils to get the mogs. The gear bought with overflow and the 385 upgrades are the same exact set cosmetically, so you can just farm overflow to get the mogs. Thought you might want to know. 😁

If we're counting the Arathi Highlands stuff we may as well count the guard armor sets from WoD too, there are plenty of options available for human and orc mogs at this point in the game so I dont see what the gripe is over. I guess they could have made the horns on the orc helmet smaller? Idk, when it comes to new mog appearances I end up leaning towards pieces that look more natural rather than outlandish and bizarre. I'd love to see them focus on more "normal looking" things like the Explorers set from recruit a friend

Yup, sucks to be me. With the catalyst out this late in the season, I'm only just about to get my 2nd tier piece after the maintenance/reset. And yes, this is coming from someone who does Heroic VOTI weekly and mythic plus 14+ and up everyday! With my ungodly weekly vault/end of dungeon bad luck, it'll take me 2 more weeks of waiting to get 4 piece through the catalyst.. GG Blizzard!

I highly doubt you do Heroic Vault, and have been progressing since the raid launch and only have one set piece. There's no way your luck is that bad. There's nothing wrong with the Catalyst, it's perfect. Doing the raid gives you your charge, so you can get a free tier pieces every week from now on, even on characters that haven't touched the raid.

Doing Heroic VOTI also doesn't guarantee you get a tier piece esp if you run pugs or are in a guild that doesn't do proper tier distribution. If you've got a complete tier set, then good for you but don't shit on players that don't have the same luck as you because there are still MANY players out there that are yet to complete their tier sets.

@@yunadestined In what way is giving this system to players in the FIRST patch, which isn't even a full patch, it's a 0.5 patch, two months into the expansion, "late" in any way, shape, or form? It's bad luck protection. You either have a shotty guild, and the worst luck in human history, or you don't actually raid Heroic (in a guild), and just PUG everything, which explains your poor experience. Find an actual guild, and stop being a whiney casual who needs to front on the internet for no valid reason. This helps EVERYONE, IN EVERY TIER. There's literally no argument against this system, it's implementation, nor it's timing.

I am a casual, and i cant do the storms fury. Because no body is doing it and while its not meant to so solo. I was litterally the only person in the zone. So its useless. Blizzard needs to learn if its purely for casuals let us solo it, if its not solo able while make it appeal to everyone.

I think it's safe to say the honeymoon period is over. And we're starting to objectively look at the systems. I'm still playing 10.0.5 regularly, but other games are starting to occupy my interest again (which is a good thing). My main is mostly done and I'm slowly engaging with alts. And We can now see some of the longer term impacts of blizzards changes. For the most part, I still love their design philosophy around evergreen core features; I still love the talent rework; and I still love how prominent professions are. I also greatly appreciate additions like the revival catalyst and once again having true tire sets back instead of more corrosive systems like barrowed power grinds. I think the crafting order system needs work, in particular the stark contrast of how the system functions on low-pop vice high-pop servers. to be blunt, low-pop servers are getting screwed. But we're also seeing flaws. The sheer amount of nerfs to the raid and repeated dungeon nerfs show release was quite poorly tuned and likely lacked testing during the beta cycle. Class reworks are a double edge sword. It's highly encouraging to see revamps take place this early on classes like Druid or Paladin. But it too points again to a lack of testing. Then their is the new trading post system. First off, I love the emphasis on a base feature with no gimmicks, focused on expanding our transmog, pet, & mount offerings. It's even better when it allows players to collect store-only offerings. However, then we see the most compelling transmog set on offer require 6-12 months to acquire. This is a gimmick and unwelcome. What it suggests is Blizzard is once again using systems to bait out players into artificially engaging over a longer period of time, which ultimately damages public perception of that feature. And if you're saying, "hold on, blizzard wouldn't do that". Well, they've done it repeatedly in the past with 6-month subscriptions, BlizzCon ticket purchases, and the recruit a friend feature which once again put the most compelling reward at the end of a 12 month process. This is a misstep for Blizzard. It shows an already distrustful player base (for good reasons) that the company is prone to the same old damaging behaviors which turned away so many players over the previous 5 years. I am personally disappointed by the Warden armor set, which I've wanted for my Druid since Legion. And NO, I don't want it being race specific. This represents a level of reward that should simply be a trading post tender purchase. Not a 12-month grind. And certainly Not a 12-month grind for only one race in the game.

When it comes to Heritage Armor, I get excited because it's the only time we get bespoke models that are ONLY for the male and female rigs of that one race, instead of something that is in the middle so it can be pulled and squished a dozen different ways (speaking as a male panda main). So any gear that looks more like standard models (in particular the human set) is a bit of a let-down. I think that's where some people are coming from. That being said I still like them both and will for sure use bits of them often.

I have a prediction of 10.1. Story and Raid will be Djaradin focused. The zone will be underground and in VotI the Djaradin say they are searching for the elder(s) and the blind Djaradin mentions the elders being underground. With there connection to magma the raid will be the elders and the fire incarnate is my guess.

The Storm's Fury event suffers from the same problem as the other timed events. You have to commit to a schedule like you're raiding, rather than doing it whenever you want. This is why things like the Community Feast should be OPTIONAL, not a mandatory thing you HAVE TO DO for the weekly. The Community Feast should only be needed if you really want that tuskarr rep. But the Storm's Fury is even worse, because there's no timer anywhere, not even on Wowhead. So unless you're there when the event is on, you're just gonna get confused, and sit there waiting for something to happen, along with 10- 20 other equally confused players. I've done it with three characters already, and only now I think I remember when it's supposed to take place. But there are some good things too with the Storms Fury. The event itself is rather fun, and you get most of your Primal Storms currency for the weekly quest from killing the boss. But Wowheac should really have a timer for the event, so you know when to be to be there, rather than sitting there wasting your time waiting for something to happen.
