Just get in. Enjoy the challenge. Embrace the cold. Just think that this is making you that little bit "tougher ". You will be amazed at how tough you really are. Not just in surviving the cold, but enjoying it . Maybe you can tackle the other problems in your life, in a similar manner. Slowly realise how strong you are. Enjoy the dip.

She’s absolutely spot on when describing open water swimming. It’s a cold dangerous environment but it can be safely enjoyed if you follow some simple rules.

Beautiful video! Yes, our beautiful ocean is sometimes terrifying and I always stay alert when I swim. But it brings me much more well-being 🏊🏻‍♀️🌊💙

Woow great language, interesting! long swim. Yeahh, jellyfish is taking over many places in south america. I grew up surfing and last year, it was the first time that I saw a purple flags every where at the beach while visiting my parents. It was a bit of a shock.

Love it! I have the same yearning to waterfalls. I MUST get in, jump in, stand behind, swim under, and really REALLY feel that waterfall. The intense LOUD, and raw power takes my breath away...literally. And I totally get what she said about the cold. It is numbing, and makes me feel ALIVE... It's like adrenaline mixed with frigid is just a rush I can't get from anything else, and I LOVE IT!!! I enjoyed the video 😊

I think that the cold is the least of all problems when it comes to outdoor swimming, given that you have all the appropriate gear (wetsuit, swim shoes, goggles, swim cap, safety buoy). People always tend to envision the water as very still and crystal clear when in reality, it's pitch dark in there and you can't see a thing. You're like a tiny little hobbit in the dragon's lair, not having a clue of what is actually going on around you, and underneath you. Swimming in a lake is one thing... swimming in the sea or ocean is another. There are good reasons why even professional athletes often have a boat guiding them when they're out there. Tides, currents, jelly fish, crabs, rocks and cliffs, or simply getting tangled up in seaweed, are only a few of the dangers... and while it's extremely rare, there actually have been sightings of whales and sharks at the shores of the UK, that must have gotten lost. I do sea swimming myself at a very flat and calm beach at the east coast of Scotland, but it is worth noting that there is always a certain risk involved when swimming out in the open water. However, the feeling when you get out of the water is so revitalizing... there a few things that compare.

Love the message about wild swimming, very perplex and confused with the bottle of whisky continueously in the frame at the far post. Pretty sure that cold water swimming in the wild and whisky drinking are not the best match ?
