Robert's call was really sad. He was so puffed up and confident he was going to come in and drop a mic on everyone, but 2 questions later he had to realize that all he really had was some people made some wishes for him, and he felt better. That immediately launched him into defensive mode. What really happened was he almost broke free of his cult, and some cult members caught wind of this and got together with him and badgered him with all the cult talking points until he felt better.

When Robert asked you to take his word on how his experience felt to him he wanted you to take his word on it and tried comparing it to taking Dr Ben's word on how he feels about his gender expressions. I whole heartedly support trans rights and Dr Ben should be his true self. However, it felt as though you were shutting Richard down for making the comparison. I truly don't think he was being hateful, but rather making a comparison. Even if it was flawed, he didn't seem to be bigoted. I also don't think he was changing the topic. It came across (to me at least) that bringing up gender expression was a taboo. I found this to be a double standard in that the panel says there are topics that are sacred and cannot be questioned. Theists often claim to be offended when we atheists question something they hold to be sacred. In my humble opinion, nothing is sacred, everything can be scrutinized and if it holds water, then it'll withstand that scrutiny. Assuming best intentions is better than assuming Richard was being disparaging. I don't think the caller's claims have any merit, but shutting him down for attempting to make a comparison felt wrong. Please let me know if you think I'm way off base here.

Andrew has a history of being transphobic. If it wasn't due to his history of calls, then I think maybe he would have had the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not a hard "time limit" kind of person but three people tried to get Eduardo to some kind of a point over the course of over 20 minutes and were met only by a brick wall. Roberr sounds so much like Andrew from Florida it's uncanny. Not just the accent, but the obstinate derpass way of engaging.

Did I hear Eduardo's call right? Starts talking about why Jesus and his teachers are important, and then we have reincarnation by some unknown means (and if reincarnation happened, but we didn't have an understanding of how, that would be one thing, but as far as we can tell, reincarnation in general is wrong).

Robert/Andrew, no I haven't experienced a black hole. But we (humans) have literally detected them, and been able to independently verify the detection. There are actual models which predict and explain black holes. It is just straight up dishonest to compare a black hole to the "inner witness of the Holy Spirit" in which is in no way verifiable even for yourself because of how memories work.

PLEASE! For the love of non-existo can someone show Richard where the mute button is on his mic? Hearing his constant grunts, huffs and heavy breathing when other people are talking is infuriatingly distracting and turns an otherwise interesting episode into an unlistenable horror show!
