@@sarcasticallyrearranged A huge portion of songs on Talk Talk's first three albums are about Mark's battle with drugs & depression, successfully kicking the habits, falling off the wagon, cursing the pains of addiction, as well as his insights, lessons learned and the people he knew when he lived on the streets (e.g. the haunting beauty of Renee).

@Lisa Surlie From what I understand, a huge portion of songs on Talk Talk's first three albums are about Mark's battle with drugs & depression (many people suffering from mental illness 'self-medicate', especially if medical professionals & access to proper medications is limited or impractical due to costs. Marks songs deal with him successfully kicking the habits & falling off the wagon, cursing the pains of addiction & how the drugs controlled him, as well as his insights, lessons learned and the people he knew when he lived on the streets (e.g. the haunting beauty of "Renee", during which he has an imaginary conversation with a fellow junkie who didn't make it out of the hell-hole of addiction alive. Also, there's the song "Where's Caroline?". I'm not sure, but I suspect that Mark may have been romantically involved with one or both of them during various stages of his life before he quit touring, settled down, got married & raised a family.

The change of the pace troughout the three songs is great it changes the mood of the listener beautifully. Just an observation of a dancer/choreoegrapher. Moves along beautifully to change the mood of the listener along. Slow time to quick time. = Movement through time and space a dancers golden rule and understanding. Stillness to off balance,(the step from stillness to movement) through to trusting the safety of that theology built as infants from rolling over to lifting the weight to crawl to moving forward and to standing, the anatomy of becoming a walking phenonemon. The greatest gift that we posess.Movement.xxxxxx

Possibly the only appearance I've seen where he seems to be enjoying playing "pop" star: he moves, he dances, he wears a suit jacket. Miles from the guy with the open oxford cloth shirt and scruffy (but darling) ponytail, clutching the mic for dear life and wearing shades. What on earth did they do to you, baby?
@maryluna386 жыл бұрын
Mindy Su Here he makes me a little 'tenderness. I think in those moments he felt rather excited, the youthful dream of becoming a pop star was coming true. But he would soon realize that that dream would cost him too much in terms of freedom, health, and family ties. He made a choice. The right one for him. Very few would have done it. As for his look, I must say that I hate those clothes, but he was terribly cute !!!

@ducav27 жыл бұрын
More than "bellissima" he says instead "Belle malissima" which - if it's meant to be Italian - it sounds very wrong, as "belle" = beautiful (plural feminine) "malissima" = nonsense, a non existent feminization of "malissimo" = very badly. I guess he meant "beautiful and very evil". I googled out of curiosity, seems like it's not latin either.
@sharpeslass54526 жыл бұрын
It's incorrect Latin. Translates as something close to "Wicked Beauty."
