I’ve been a fan for a while now of talk heathen and the atheist experience I’ve seen all of the episodes with Roberts calls and I must say as a Robert this caller Robert puts the name Robert to shame 😂

I would love to see how Robert would explain how the Japanese land creation myth by the gods Izanagi and Izanami factors into the god of Christianity creating the world.

This caller is simply dishonest, like most theists. He makes up answers to every roadblock he hits. A theist the otherday told me he would not debate me unless i read a book he suggests. So he thinks there is more truth in a creationist book than anywhere else, thats the problem.

Norse creation mythology starts with "yawning void" that lies between places of extreme heat and extreme cold, and in this void, venom drips into a river and creates the first giant, Ymir, who survives by drinking the milk of a primordial cow, who in turn licks a salty rock and out of it comes the ancestor of all gods, Buri. At some point, apparently this yawning void grows a tree, or possibly, the yawning gap was in the tree from the beginning, but in any case in this tree there are nine realms, of which our realm, midgard, where we humans live, is one, and at the foot of this tree lives three witches that can tell the future. Yeah, you are right. Don't underestimate the wide variety of creation myths. Also I like to point at this when flat earthers go "all ancient civilizations though there was a flat earth". Nope. Not the vikings, they thought the world was tree.

Robert's whole argument is one special pleading. And he shows a great ignorance of the history of the bible, even the bible does not say they were written by eyewitnesses. And luke admits he is not an eyewitness

I'd replace "Christians" with "Theists", and it would be more accurate, a more broad truth.

It keeps striking me as such an interesting phenomenon. And it's odd, because when I believed it, I responded almost the same way. Cognitive dissonance is so painful, otherwise rational minds (on other subjects) engage in incoherent deflections to avoid it. I did it too. It's so weird to watch from the "outside." Conversation I had the other day, with a guy I know fairly well, have worked with for decades, basically went something like this: Theist (Christian): Well, I believe it. I don't know how I'd live if I didn't believe it. Me: That's understandable, I have felt that way too. But why do you believe it's true? Theist: You got to have faith. Me: What do you mean by 'faith' Theist: I have to believe it. How else did we get here? Evolution? If we evolved from apes why are there still apes? Me: (This is about my umpteenth rodeo on this subject... it's hard to not laugh here) Well evolution and "god" are not mutually exclusive. And "apes" is just nomenclature, right? Evolution explains biodiversity, it doesn't tell us about the origin of life, and Humans and other modern apes evolved from common ancestors. That's all that's about. So what does faith do for us? I mean how do we use faith to show that what we believe is necessarily or even probably true? Theist: Well we all have faith. I mean that's a computer monitor over there. You can't prove it's there. You can't *prove* anything. So from there I went into epistemology and the Hebrews / New Testament description of "faith." He had to go, and the conversation ended on a friendly note. I don't get upset with people, and have stopped laughing at them in these conversations. Because I remember how easy it is to believe this stuff. This guy is smart. It shocked me, frankly, when I found out he was a Christian. Because on literally every other subject his thinking skills are razor sharp. It was weird to experience him doing this. But anyway. How does it usually go with you?

This is such a shill channel. Anyone that contemplates the religions, regions, and false history understands we don't know the truth, and furthermore, we can only go off the evidence left behind. The evidence left behind are the numbers- Gematria.. sacred geometry, and the highest principles measured by intuition. Moreover, the site locations of the sacred sites/pyramids, share the mathematical principles. This guy operates from an egoic standpoint. Very apparent.
