Hoothoot was also shown in the anime to stand on one foot and swapping to its other one when the previous one was tired. Also, I think it was explained in the episode where Ash was "hunting" for the shiny Noctowl that Hoothoot has two legs but rarely stands on both.

remoraid evolving into octillery makes more sense when you look at there beta designs. remoraid was desined to look like a gun and octillery was desined to look like a tank so it was supposed to be a small weapon evolving into a bigger weapon somewhere along the way they decided to change there designs to look more like animals losing that connection

It still has that connection. Remoraid is basead, besides a remora, on a fish, don t remember the name, that in real life can shot water at a good distance and accuracy, like a gun. And Octillery is a octopus that in real life can shot ink, sometimes at very violent manner, like a cannon. So, although just by seeing the animals, makes no sense, the core concept is still very much present and makes sense

It's so amazing how Gen 2 introduced A LOT of new things for Pokemon. The Dark and Steel types, breeding and baby Pokemon, the day/night cycle, alternate evolutions outside of Eeveelutions, held items, friendship evolutions, and so on. Gen 2 basically pushed the GameBoy Color to its limit.

Slowking evolves directcly from Slowpoke, it's brenched evolution. Kkkk, I also thought it was Slobro's evolution. Discovered it was not when I traded my Slowbro holding the King's Rock, and it didn't evolved.

Gen 2 was and always will be my favorite! I played the ever living hell out of gold and silver. When the remakes came out it I was so excited!! I can commiserate with you over never having people to trade with. I loved watching this, so much nostalgia and your energy is just what I needed to get through work 😁(PS: Togepi is one of my favorites)

I might have been one of the earliest item hunters before gamefreak/pokemon streamline buying all held items. Man i spent hours hunting held items from wild pokemons in Pokemon Silver. I hate how easy they make it these days that you can just buy them or they are given to you. Man i love the second generation

Dunsparce evolves. It evolves into Dunseraph by leveling up while knowing the move Sky Fall, first learned at level 42.

In the GS beta, Umbreon was a poison type that evolved from Eevee with a poison stone (an item that would later be removed). The dex entry did not change, hence why it still talks about sweating poison.

I honestly really like Delibird, the idea that it goes around sharing it's food with people is so sweet! It's ultra sun dex entry is my favorite "It shares its food with people who are stranded. Because Delibird is omnivorous, sometimes it gives those people bug Pokémon."

Remoraid is basically a fish shaped, living water gun, which is why it could learn so many laser moves, including Solarbeam. Octillery is an octopus shaped living cannon. It’s also hinted at in their name references. “Remington firearms”, and “Artillery”.

In crystal theres a side quest in the ruins of alph where you had to decipher the unknown language & translate messages to open up hidden areas in the ruins to get free stuff, one of them involved having ho-oh with you. Also, you get a kingdra by trading a seadra with a dragon scale attached to it & slowpoke evolves into slowking with a king's rock attached to it when you trade it.

@tekking nice video, my favorite starter is feraligatr and second is typhlosion. also: 1: it's ariados 2: i never thought of quagsire evolving into wobbuffet, but i see where you are comming from 3: slowking evolves with king's rock from slowpoke, not slowbro 4: the reason remoraid evolves into octillery has more to do with it's weapons inspiration than it's animal inspiriation 5: it's not hard to get hitmontop from tyrogue. i did a fighting monotype run a little while ago on sword and caught three tyrogue. they evolved at the same time into all three different hitmons. 6: galarian corsola is gen 8, not gen 7 love your video's p.s. if you are interested, i can tell you more about gen 3 onwards

Fun fact about Girafarig, it was originally going to be Dark/Normal and, learning from the Gold & Silver beta, it was going to evolve from twin ghosts into the two giraffe bodies Tekking mentions, but was scrapped alongside the other giraffe body and was changed to Normal/Psychic because of a pun. Girafarig’s name is a palindrome, just like its Japanese name, kirinriki. And when you write this in Japanese, it looks like a palindrome which translates to ‘giraffe telekinesis’.

Gen 2 was my first game, Silver version. Totodile was first Pokémon. Gen 2 will always be my favorite. Not saying any other generation is better or worse. Nostalgia is the reason why it is my favorite. Also happens to be my b-day on the 19th. So I'm taking this as an early birthday present. Thanks Tekking!

Funny thing about Sudowoodo is that not many people realize it's a "pseudo wood, oh..." (at least based on my experience), and it's a petrified wood (or fossilized wood), which is pretty cool if you ask me.
