Of course the Warden came back from the west when no one did before. He/she was able to defeat Mythal to separate a fragment of herself as an insurance policy, kill an Arch demon and live, kill the Architect without being possessed by him, and found Andrastes Urn and then used it as a cure all. This list is only of things that are explicitly stated to be impossible not difficult but impossible.

When I heard Morrigan say that she found the lead for her warden, I thought of the end of the witch hunt DLC. She points to a book and says that the warden would be interested in it. I think that book had the lead to cure the calling. So I think it’s always Morrigan who set the warden on the path for the cure.

There is the possibility that the darkspawn managed to break thru the surface is voshi. Lelianna said that the western lands had never know the blight. But, the darkspawn are the physical embodiment of massive cataclysm. Also, something that wasn't really touched in the video was another possible origin for the humans of thedas. In the collectors edition da: strategy guide, the in game codex & world of thedas, it states that there's a legend that the first humans in thedas arrived from the northwest after fleeing some unknown danger, the snow goddess. In inquisition, solas basically confirms that some groups of humans came to thedas fleeing ancient spirit that is sad & mournful about the humans fleeing from her.

I think the reason why Bull said they now looked "different" from the rest of the Kossith was demonstrated in DA:I as the result of intense selective breeding under the Qun, to the point where certain traits became intensely predominant while others were completely eradicated.

That's a really interesting idea! I like that a lot! Though, Laysh was probably only handling processed lyrium. I don't know if it would have worked. Though I hope so, because that's actually a really cool idea!

@@TheKingdomEntertainment it would be cool if they had a theory about unprocessing lyrium. Either that process created mass explosions and the cataclysm, or this new "raw again" lyrium infected the titan or caused a similar problem.

I feel like the cataclysm was either a Titan waking up OR they had still been controlled by one to this point and it died. Since they seem so different from the dwarfs we know, there must be a reason for that. I think they at least didn’t forget about the Titans. Hence no elves bc they’d see them as mortal enemies

Great video and information on places connected to and beyond Thedas. :D executor [I just want to point out that there is more than one pronunciation and more than one meaning, other than killers.] [ig-zek-yuh-ter or for 1, ek-si-kyoo-ter] noun 1. a person who executes, carries out, or performs some duty, job, assignment, artistic work, etc. 2. Law. a person named in a decedent's will to carry out the provisions of that will.

Also, I'm sure you know, but it didn't seem clear, that the Kossith were a culture in the way that the Qunari are a culture, like the Jews are both a people of a certain bloodline and then there is the Jewish Orthodox religion that includes 'converted' Jews from other people. So, I think you may be correct in your theory that the Kossith chased the Qunari out as heretics or that the Qunari left because they wanted a different belief, or there may be something that happened such as the Kossith created beings with horns and/or other mutations and then ordered them out. The Qunari destroyed all the old records, so they don't know. I wonder if the Kossith are still watching them. Anyway, it is all interesting as you say. :D

What I think is West of Thedas is possibly a few theories. Theory 1: West of Thedas is the Continent of Endiness from Legend of Dragoon. I mean it makes sense seeing how both games are dragon themed with a story of discovering the creation of the world, racism towards the non humans (Elves and Qunari of Thedas, Winglies and Gigantos of Endiness) and a colorful cast of characters. Theory 2: West of Thedas is the Continent of Fodlan from Fire Emblem Three Houses. Well both games are about the corrupt of nobility, religion and the horrors of war. Fun fact, Allegra Clark, the Voice of Josephine also did the voices of both Dorothea and Shamir. Theory 3: West of Thedas is the Witcher Continent. I mean both games are dark fantasies where the Elves and Dwarves are treated as second class citizens as they were forced out of their sacred kingdoms. Kingdoms and nobles war against one another for power while a powerful empire plots their demise, mages seek power and a land to rule for their own and an elite group of monster slayers are on the verge of collapsing. Theory #4: West of Thedas is the land of Alagaesia from the Inheritance Cycle. Both are similar in every way, Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, another race of horned giants that have a war like culture (Urgals of Alagaesia and the Qunari of Thedas). A land where an evil empire wishes to rule the world and wipe out the dragons. Theory #5: West of Thedas are the Governments of Ostania and Westalis from Spy X Family. Theory #6: West of Thedas are the various nations of the Continent where Full Metal Alchemist takes place. Theory #7: West of Thedas is the continent of Ivalice from Final Fantasy Tactics. Theory #8: West of Thedas is the Kingdom of Albion and nation of Aurora from the Fable series. Now lets figure out what's south of Thedas with a few theories Theory #1: South of Thedas is the Lands of the Jak and Daxter series Theory #2: South of Thedas is the continent of Nosgoth from Legacy of Kain. Theory #3: South of Thedas is the Kingdom of Hyrule and its various nations from the Legend of Zelda series Theory #4: South of Thedas is Kingdom of Heliopolis and the nations beyond from Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.

What if the Cataclysm the Voshai speak of relates to darkspawn or Red Lyrium? The darkspawn seem to have invaded the Deeproads network from some middle point, and it's unlikely they only spread in one direction, but in all directions. The 500 years silence could be attributed to the Darkspawn first showing up, it could also be attributed to them maybe finding red lyrium. If Red Lyrium, they might have found it's increased potency super desirable, giving up on trying to import the 'lesser' Lyrium. If it's use was too widespread too quickly, the devastation could be immense, resulting in a long time recovering.I get the feeling these Voshai are a group of Dwarves who migrated to the surface, maybe they lost their access to the Deeproads Network which is why they need to import Lyrium. Even if they lost access, doesn't mean Darkspawn weren't still slowly spreading in their direction, eventually breaking through the surface.

I’m seeking a lot of likeness in real life history. Amaranth reminds me of the first few colonies in America, Rowenok in particular. Or if a more sinister plot, when the Vikings trick other into believing Greenland is Iceland when really Iceland is Greenland and they would raid the ships. The Par Lati is like that island of the coast of India that now one is able to touch cause they’re too violent with outsiders (looked it up and they’re called Sentinelese). And it’s my personal head canon will be the Asia of that world, in a way like it was in the the Alchemist (anime).

The Warden may have also journeyed across the Deep Roads, maybe to find a secret Warden cache, somewhere on the Roads themselves even. The companions may be used to spiffing up the Warden to make him/her look good. So the journey is not actually that dangerous or that far west. Or to make everyone believe the Warden is out of reach, so they don't make him/her take control of the Inquisition, like Varric did with Hawke.

Maybe other continents do not have a living Titan? Doubt there is any lyrium present in a dead one. I wonder why we never hear much on other continents. You'd think Solas would've mentioned something. But it's curious how the game is so centered only in this relatively small area. Did Arlathan extend to other continents? In game it feels that people think Thedas is the entire world. If the veil had fallen or Corypheus' plans had worked would it have effected other lands beyond Thedas?

The Voshai are a sentient race from a continent west of Thedas, making them the powers from across the sea. Executors are humans and dwarfs who have given themselves over to the cause, can't remember exactly what the quote is from the war table operation but its something along the lines of the Inquisition agents joining the Executors after they discover Leliana's deception, not that she betrayed her agents I mean the fake outpost were they captured an Executor. When they originally started coming to Thedas they were trading with the natives of Laysh, a port city on the west coast of the Anderfels. Their ships were captained by dwarfs and never had elven crew and this is were the theory gets extremely tinfoily but I think its because the Voshai helped Solas create the Veil to trap the Evanuris, why? Because the Voshai are also linked to the Titans, well the Titan responsible for their continent anyway and just because I think its kind of unrealistic to expect that Solas created the Veil alone, he's clearly very very powerful but I just can't fathom him being able to do that alone. I say the Voshai helped because Ghilan'nan is responsible for their Titans death, or at least her gigantic Lovecraftian sea monsters are, we know that Mythal fought and killed a Titan so I don't find it totally unbelievable that another Evanuris also killed some Titans. I'm rambling a bit and not well organized so I apologize but it's just my way of explaining ideas. Anyway we know the Voshai are obsessed with Lyrium, so maybe they were trying to do some very powerful ritual to resurrect their god/s and this caused the cataclysm that ravage their lands recently which is why they're showing up in Thedas again and that the Executor agents are watching things closely for them because of Corypheus and other events. They mention stuff about entering the domain of higher powers which I think could be the Evanuris, they didn't know Solas is Fen'Harel but with the Breach and the Orb turning up they probably suspected he was back or at least has agents and the last thing they want is the Evanuris to return so they're working against Solas, this is why he says they're dangerous in The Dread Wolf Rises, they'd have no idea Solas is planning to tear down the Veil but with the Breach and everything they're worried. They only offer a little help with the Inquisition as well for me because they don't wanna show their hand right now and its obvious that only the Inquisitor can close the Breach, a foreign power joining a fledging organization might not be a good look or something I dont really know with that one. Never explained the no elven crew, they helped Solas create the Veil and fight the Evanuris but made an agreement that they wouldn't recruit elves and let them be free because that's what Solas wanted. They have dwarfs as well because of their shared link with the Titans or maybe the Voshai are just a short race as well and are called dwarfs by the inhabitants of Laysh because the Voshai really didn't communicate with them so they just called them dwarfs because they look similar, not sure why the Voshai didn't learn more than the basics but sometimes people don't wanna different languages do they could just be that simple. I really haven't explained this idea very well I know but the basic premise is there. An Executor is likely going to be a companion or at least a group we interact with during DA4 and this could lead to meeting a Voshai, maybe even as a mage companion. I'm a bit late obviously but this is my theory that I posted on Reddit a few months back
@vpotts13995 жыл бұрын
hey i wanted to pose something that i dont see many talking bout i posted this theory to one other but wanted to share it around i think we are thinking of dragon age lore to separate when the games themselves are asking us to view as a whole dont get me wrong there is a bit of reaching involved but if we look at what we know and add it with information we are given a story of the past starts to pop up here is a copy of what i had in mind that i shared we where told that we would never get a clear anseer on of the maker which is weird seeing we know of the elves and theregods and bits of their lore and dwarves and old goods if you put everything together just like listening to all your lore videos in row it start to paint a picture of what we are missing dont get me wrobg there is still many holes but outlines are there it seem to be alot of crossing a simplified version of story seems to be the old gods where goin around telling humans secrets of the elves almost the foorm only for the elven gods was dragons could the old gods be traitors from the elves or the elven gods themselves trying to find ally's to fight with eachother then someone was going around hunting titans maybe because they thought it was them truth then came to light so the elves formed alliance with titans that help lay trap and grabbed the "old gods" and buried them deep within themselves so they couldn't escape but which is why their are no bad feelings between dwarves and elves because of this packed this could also be the war that solas spoke of that made generals into gods infact we been thinking all the stories of the elven gods happened when they where goda but what if some happened before then and are dramatized like when varic was telling casander bout hawk in the beginning but i digress this didnt stop old gods who still spoke to humans because they where dreamers transform to dragons. the elves then wared with eachother liking and even copying the way the titans contributed the dawrves and started using that themselves which is what caused the divide and lead to mithals death similar to right of tranquillity maybe even the same process even so they wared the veil was made that destroyed arlthan and let accident tervants to convince maybe even by waking the first titan we heard of that wondered why thy no long had control told him it was elves and he swallowed the remains of their cities like it said they did in the chant. Basically what im saying is what if we are seeing the events from the past reliving them with diffrent people mind you but same story like the world of dragon age is in groundhog day or atleast thatous is which could give hints to why other countries that know of the existence of the continent such as the ones that lie beyond the see stay away because they fear being caught in this repeating loop. dont know if your goin to read this but if you do sorry for misspelling and long rambling type this while at work on and off and was trying to remember most of the things your videos put in my head and i did not spell check.

what if the voshai were fighting a blight and just now ended it
@Doc_Aspy5 жыл бұрын
If the Voshai do have access to a thaig, and by extension the deep roads, could they have maybe faced a blight themselves that couldn't reach the rest of the world because the Voshai are so isolated? It would be an explanation as to why they've never been militarily hostile. Their forces were too busy fighting off darkspawn to concern themselves with invading other nations. If they needed all of that lyrium, then it could either be for mages, or perhaps they have weapons similar to the sha-brytol or something and the lyrium is an energy source for them. If they're fighting darkspawn, they'd be desperate for all the fuel they could get for war machines of some kind or another. And if their ships are that strange to the people in laysh, maybe it's because they're just more advanced in general. Further ahead technologically than the qunari or the sha-brytol. However, idk why it would take them 500 years to take care of it. Issues with a blight would also be something that would interest Wardens if they got wind of it. However, the warden went West West-ish, not North West, and they said the west hadn't seen the blight yet. However, no one knows anything about them other than they're grumpy, lyrium hungry, and ghosted the rest of thedas for 500 years. Why would we expect to have enough details about them to be sure about the reach of the blight?

@@TheKingdomEntertainment Perhaps a timeline of sorts to see how each civilisation was affected? For one thing, I'm still not clear on whether dwarves were Sundered before or AFTER the Veil. Otherwise, what effects did its construction have on lyrium and how it was used? Were dwarves effected at all or did The Sundering immunise them? We know that the elves suffered as a civilisation (but that ancient elves were essentially pre-Blight Tevinter magisters on steroids), dwarves... carried on(?), and humans thrived. Specifically, human MAGES, came into power: was this genuinely a result of elvish civilisation warring with itself & humans simply filling the power vacuum? Or did the separating of the physical from the spiritual affect human magic in some way? Stabilise it? Change how spirits interacted with humans? Then there's dragons: they're revered all over Thedas as being gods or god-like. Were THEY affected? Dragons seem to have magic or be magical in a semi-similar way that Titans are &, depending on how events line up, the Old Gods are dubbed ANCIENT high dragons (in a way Different to modern high dragons). Did dragons lose power & influence as the elves did? When were dragons assumed "extinct"? Is their return to Thedas a foreshadowing that Titans are "returning" also? I'm & 85% certain that dragons & Titans exist beyond Thedas and always have. Lastly, exactly how far does The Veil's reach extend? Did Ancient Elves interact with Amaranthines, Kossith, or Vo-something-ith? Were THOSE continents affected by what Solas did? The Blights, at least, seem restricted to Thedas as, before Sten's involvement with The Warden, the Qunari had never encountered it before, so is the rest of the world still coexisting with The Fade? Or does Arlathan/The Golden City/The Black City not "exist" past Thedas? Heck, Amaranth could be where some of those places in Trespasser that seem utterly untouched by civilisation are. WE DON'T KNOW! D: I really just want the next game to have some Thedosians interacting with some visitors from another continent & them being all, "Yeah so this elf - they're the native people of Thedas - rebelled against gods? And he split the world in two. "Then there were these human mages who set up seven apocalypses - our fifth was ten years ago - trying to work for THEIR gods, "and just recently that first dude helped one of those second dudes break the sky & fake a sixth apocalypse? to try undo the first thing? Isn't Leliana's comment really weird though? I mean if the warden is looking for a cure to the calling how are they going to find it in a place that has never known the blight??? Could it perhaps mean that they have never known the horrors of the blight because they know how to cure it? That would explain why the wardens going there but still seems an odd way to put it. Or perhaps they've never known the blight till now and that cataclysmic event they were talking about was their first blight? (warden comes in and defeats the blight by themselves). Idk still seems far-fetched. And once again dragon age lore makes no sense. Unless, if we go with your titan theory. Could the Titans be able to cleanse the blight? Then would the westerners/Voshai need to stay in contact with the titan? And the westerners/Voshai were using the lyrium to keep the titan asleep? And the cataclysmic event was it waking up? Maybe? Idk.
@DisEkript6 жыл бұрын
I will bring you attention to the Voshai. If the Voshai people consist of dwarves and humans, and they both live on the surface, that brings the question, who still lives underneath? Could it be, that dwarves of the West abandoned underworld? It could be because darkspawn never went west, neither through underways nor through land (could be because there were NO underways to the west). If they never went west, the dwarves wouldn't have to stay underground to fight them, like their Thedasian counterparts. And if there is no titan and ergo no lirium, it could explain why they went to Thedas for it. If there WERE a Titan, it brings the question as to why they needed lirium. Maybe their Titan was damaged by the ancient Elves? And it couldn't produce enough lirium? Maybe it depleted? Who teh fuck knows. You suggestion that the Voshai needed the lirium to keep the Titan at bay doesn't really makes sense (no offence meant). The Titan IS the lirium, I don't see how giving it the lirium could affect it in any way. I may be wrong, as there is no certainty to anything here.
@liamvaartjes77066 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we really can't know. I was just coming up with wild theories. Hopefully, when DA4 finally comes we'll get some solid answers for once. Then again if they do that they'll probably just throw a whole bunch of new questions at us. Also, I thought the dwarves lived underground cause they wanted to, not so they could fight the darkspawn. You make a good point about there maybe just not being a titan to the west but then what else could cause the cataclysmic event? If not the darkspawn/blight? Mages maybe? Except they don't seem to have enough lyrium if they want a major Anders moment. I really don't know.
