At 56, I’ve been acoustic for over 45 years. I’m just starting my adventure into electric violin. I have a contact pickup that I started dabbling with decades ago but I needed a volume pedal and didn’t have the money. Duke!!!! And I have a BA in Music Audio Engineering. Also I’ve had gaps of no playing after 2006.

That’s an awesome name. Hawaiian Pizza. Reminds of Pineapple Express 😜

I find that with my LR Baggs, when I play double stops, with distortion - I get 'additional' and 'unwanted' extra distortion. Do you find that? Is it just the pickup?

When you have distortion (intentional or otherwise), double stops change A LOT. It turns out that playing double stops on your instrument generates "difference tones". And those interact with the distortion. It's on every instrument and every pickup. Learn to love it.
