Met Richard briefly in the Golden Fleece at York 2 years ago. I told him I was a big fan and he replied "you need to get out more 😊" He seems a really great guy.

I think richards' memory is a bit hazy on the Harry Martindale Roman soldiers story. Ive seen his Ghosts of York dvd where he speaks to him in the Treasurers House cellar and ive seen other documentaries featuring Harry - most notably "Spirits of the Legionaires' - part of the old 'Ghost Hunters' paranormal series on the Discovery Channel back in the late 1990s so whst im about ti say is the real official account - i think Richard forgot this detail... The cellar floor of the Treasurers House had already been excavated by archealogists by 1953. In fact, when Harry first entered the cellar,he placed his step ladder on the base of the newly discovered roman road. A section of it had been uncovered. When the Romans started coming out of the wall, at first it looked like they were wading through the concrete cellar floor UNTIL they got to the section of the excavated Roman road - it was on then that he could see them from the legs up. This is how Harry could provide descriptions of their sandals and red skirt- type attire they were wearing and when the horse came out of the wall, he could describe the bushy fetlocks on the horses' legs. This roman road was excavated further beneath York Minster in the 1960s

You make an excellent point Barrie and one I failed to realise in Richard's recollections. You're absolutely right.

Haven't seen this man for years, but he's exactly as I remember him. Same enthusiasm for the paranormal and history, one of the only ones to come away from Most Haunted that I still have respect for. He was in the show for honest reasons, like many crew members I am sure, but like he said, they lost the plot. The show came before an investigation, and with that, they lost all credibility.

The spirit i seen in a wood was definitely not a recording. Was the spirit of a soldier killed there in July 1916 because the mist moved out the way when i approached him after he stood watching me.

I am a medium (a genuine one) for spirits soldiers of wars and i don’t need a sitter for it unless i am doing a reading and not always with the person who asked for the reading being visible. Getting names changed on war memorials. True mediumship should be evidential through telepathy through the clairs with Spirit. Its not easy for others to understand and even being a medium, i do not know what spirits see when they see us or exactly what the spirit world looks like (those memories before incarnating get wiped). Its a world of thought i presume but do other worlds exist beyond the after life, possibly.
