I love the Malaysian accent, it's so down to earth and friendly. When I hear the Malaysian accent, even down the far end of the tube platform in London, I immediately feel happier!

Your westernized accent is really good but wow I love your real accent so much! People also don’t understand what foreigners go through with their accents especially starting at a young age.

Love the accent. I have a Singaporean English accent still due to living there for 7years. I basically grew up in Singapore and when I studied high school in Vancouver, classmates couldn’t understand my English. I understand you. I also had to change my English speaking way so people in Canada can still understand me but when I speak with my parents, I still speak Singaporean English accent.

The accent feels very flowy. The slang you use is also interesting. For me, my accent doesn’t really change much since I speak Chinese, Korean, or Japanese when I’m at my house. My accent is more neutral so I don’t have as many problems. Interesting video tho! Had fun listening to your normal talking voice.

Wow you speak many languages. Glad you like the video man, you're always so fast in watching them hahaha

@@itsjvf33 I don’t really watch many other people so my feed is pretty clean. I’m able to see your videos normally when they come out and I have time on my hands so I like watching them before I forget. Plus I find them very entertaining so I don’t like missing them.

That’s so cool! I heard this accent for the first time on KZbin and wanted to learn more about Malaysian English. Are the vocabulary and grammar unique?
@itsjvf333 жыл бұрын
Our vocab is known for being pretty bad haha. Malaysian english is also known as Manglish and has its own mixture of vocab.

Thanks for the video, it is useful for me because I 'll go to Malaysia continue my studies in English and to go deeper in English society(anyway, it's another country, so English is a single tool to speak) . Unfortunately, I don't understand all what you say and have to turn on subtitles

I was wondering where you came from ! Sounds more natural in a sense. I grew up in KL. I understand your struggle with pronouncing words that have a "th". Unsurprisingly, that's an extremely common mistake that malaysians, the 3 struggle lol, make that they're not aware of. I had to practice the "th" slowly, best to get someone to monitor the way you pronounce it and slowly incorporate it to daily usage. Biggest struggle with "Thirty-three" lol, that's hard!

Still a daily struggle for me, especially when I need to switch accents depending on who I speak to!
