@@MS-19 unfortunately it was so long ago I am 63 now He was a great mate. Wish I could remember more these days. We use to go the pictures in Aldershot. I can remember that he was fun to be with. We struggled together on the long marches and on the assault course. He was picked on more than the rest of us being the only black guy in the 3/3 platoon. I luckily have our group photo at Browning barracks. And now look at it proudly knowing. I shared a small part of my life with wilf.

An absolutely lovely honest down to earth black man. I have met lots of black people from Africa & the Caribbean etc. They were all lovely, some not so but the ones that I liked were, honest funny people, we could have serious conversations, laugh & joke it was a pleasure knowing them. Since lockdowns & blm, George Floyd murder in America I can't believe how black people have changed. All of a sudden, they were talking about how racist this country is, they were on the TV constantly critising & demanding, yet NO white person was allowed on to debate with them, I really could not understand that. And it has continued ever since. I am really shocked as I had never heard them complain (even though I am not English) about this country. They did complain & were angry about other ethnic groups here that seemed to get everything they wanted. Now their is such a divide here between black & white people that I find very sad. I know not all black people agree with what's going on but they seem to be afraid to speak up 🤷‍♂️ which is a shame. Now I don't laugh or joke with them anymore because I think they hate all whites so I keep away from them, which I feel sad about. In my record collection I have lots of black artist songs from the 60s 70s 80s, it was the Detroit sound, fantastic songs. I think black people dont realise that black artist sold more records here than they did in their home country of America , English people were not racist against them. It really is sad & I wish that someone would speak up & remind people, that not everyone is bad, black or white. Now they want to make it a black Christmas, how ludicrous, who is thinking up those crazy ideas. All I can say those people are very sad & they dont have any Peace or happiness their hearts. Happiness comes from peace NOT DEMANDS. When he said he grew up in a house, where he had to sleep three in a bed, it reminded me of my childhood. We slept four in a bed, it brought back happy memories. We would tell stories or sing . I loved to tell ghost stories, my sisters & brothers remember then to this day......happy times. When I hear children saying, they hate having to share a bed, I feel sad for them because you can make happy childhood memories
