Honestly, I would've preferred the boat over the space combat because of the possibilities in Forge World and custom games. They probably would have made the sea part of Forge World bigger and put more little islands

50 minutes into the video, this is a real jewel. The heavily refreshing questions and answers in combinations with the shown footage and the top notch music on top really summorizes the whole Halo adventure we've been through. Oh man this feels like a credit screen of the whole big halo universe with all the community. And we lucky mushrooms even have a big party coming that cheers to all the past years and the ones that will come. An infinite dance around the campfire with lovely people that love to save the world!

Thanks for this! You mention doing a vid with Joe Staten, if you do, I'd love to hear about what the Prophet of Truth's original motivations and endgame would have been during the last 3 missions that were cut from Halo 2. (or just more about the original script before it got cut down in general). In Halo 3, his entire character is changed and he acts as if he truly believes in the Great Journey, but in Halo 2 he withdrew the Phantoms to let Regret die and similarly left Mercy for dead, and is orchestrating the elite/brute civil war in an effort to amass power and seems to have deeper plans. What little of the early versions of the H2 script we've seen mention him having a medallion of some kind (perhaps made using the slipspace crystal shards from first strike that never went anywhere?). I've been dying to know what the original plan with his character was for years, and it would be a literal bucket list item for me to know.

This was fresh! I loved that Marty interview, but that one was somewhat an amalgamation of stuff I'd heard before, since Marty is very vocal and outspoken. Marcus had a lot to say I'd never heard before, a lot of exciting and interesting things. This video was a good time. Well done, Luke, Mr. HXP, sir. Honor to the Grizzled Ancients!

Yeah when you really look into Halo 4's development, you very quickly realise that it's a damn miracle that game even exists. I think as Marcus is someone who worked on Halo 2, he knows it's a struggle.

He's so humble! I don't know if he fully understands how much he impacted so many peoples' entire lives. Halo is quite literally one of my main inspirations for getting an engineering degree and wanting to work in the Energy Sector. Some of the first "sci-fi" I genuinely fell in love with was these games as a kid growing up and constantly wanting to dive more and more into the lore in the game.

I've always been curious what Bungie's take on Halo 4's GAMEPLAY would have been been...in terms of how Reach introduced the armor abilities and bloom and the DMR ect....would their H4 have had those elements as well? Or stayed more similar to H2 & H3? If you ever get the chance to interview him or another Bungie vet, I'd love to hear their answer to that question!
