The Christian protesters at the G.A.C. were a troupe of extremely confrontational zealots who usually board city buses to preach to passengers who can't escape. They have all demonstrated that they have no knowledge of anything at all, but they do have one talent; the ability to ignore whatever they dare not acknowledge. This boy demonstrates that very well. I don't know what his real name is, so I'll just refer to him as thick Thicky Thickman from Thicktown, Thickania.
BTW, there is a moment when I made fun of his accent. That was a very dickish thing to do and I'm sorry about that. It was just so irritating when I told him that the serpent couldn't be Satan because it was depicted as a girl. Rather than consider that the serpent might not be Satan, he assumed that Satan must be a girl. Confirmation bias of the highest order -next to Eric Hovind's ilk that is.

alucarderipmavtube REALLY...Scientists have discovered that atheists may not exist. This may seem to be a joke by theists but it's not, it is actually based on evidence.Cognitive scientists are becoming increasingly aware that a metaphysical outlook may be so deeply ingrained in human thought processes that it cannot be expunged. While this idea may seem outlandish-after all, it seems easy to decide not to believe in God-evidence from several disciplines indicates that what you actually believe is not a decision you make for yourself. Your fundamental beliefs are decided by much deeper levels of consciousness, and some may well be more or less set in stone. This line of thought has led to some scientists claiming that “atheism is psychologically impossible because of the way humans think,” says Graham Lawton, an avowed atheist himself, writing in the New Scientist. “They point to studies showing, for example, that even people who claim to be committed atheists tacitly hold religious beliefs, such as the existence of an immortal soul.”
@alucarderipmavtube
@alucarderipmavtube 9 жыл бұрын
That article is bollocks. Even if it is a scientist that says this, I would still take his word with a grain of salt. Science is falsifiable. If I can demonstrate and disprove his argument, then there's no reason to believe it. If my argument endures the rigorous standards of science, then such a disproval of his argument must make him to either dismiss his argument completely or to conform his argument with the reality of the situation, in regards to the disproving argument that I have given. “atheism is psychologically impossible because of the way humans think,” This is false, because for one, Atheism is possible certainly because the way humans think. For one, Atheism is only the lack of belief in a deity and nothing else, such lack of belief is the only basis for one to consider himself atheist. Psychologically, there will always be reasons and factors for one to have a lack of belief in a Deity, irregardless if such exists, so this further disproves such an argument. "This shouldn’t come as a surprise, since we are born believers, not atheists, scientists say." Another wrong argument. People are born without knowledge. People are born without any beliefs at all. No neural system starts with all it's parts and functions pre-formed, and so it is physiologically impossible to have a belief in anything during birth. It is only after birth do children start to gain knowledge. And if you do not believe in anything at all, you do not even believe in God. "Of course these findings do not prove that it is impossible to stop believing in God. What they do indicate, quite powerfully, is that we may be fooling ourselves if we think that we are making the key decisions about what we believe, and if we think we know how deeply our views pervade our consciousnesses." So then the writer shoots its own foot, because, as I have said earlier, the only basis for one to be an atheist is the Lack of Belief in God. This is a contradiction to his main argument and therefore defeats the whole purpose of his main argument, a colossal failure. Also, the last words after it are rhetorical gibberish. It is only a projection that the author thinks that atheists are fooling themselves to think that the decisions that they make are their own, (which is actually a good thing, because it justifies free will). Our physical views are ingrained in our very consciousness, as we perceive the world around us with our senses. Perceiving something that is not within our objective reality to begin with, is a delusion.

If you're post is genuine, I'm proud of you, dude. Moreso than you can imagine. Well done. If it's not, what the hell, my sentiment's the same. I'm lucky enough to be from the UK and atheist where religion has been reduced to a fangless power for many years. But I don't know if I'd be strong enough, brave enough or would have the opportunity for open education to leave Islam in the Muslim world, just as, much as I wish I would, I'm not sure I'd be strong enough to swim against the tide in Nazi Germany had I been a native, no matter what I believed, because of what they'd do to you. *"Nothing happens until something moves." -- Albert Einstein* For anything to move requires a push; there is no such thing as 'pull' in physics. A push transfers energy from something to another something. The *First Law of Thermodynamics* prevents loss or gain of matter or energy; the total sum of matter plus energy is always constant, possibly changing between matter and energy. Thus, for a supernatural being to affect the universe, they must introduce energy into the universe, which contradicts the *First Law of Thermodynamics.* Therefore, supernatural beings cannot affect anything in the universe; they are not observable, nor measurable, nor testable. They do not exist in reality, but only in the imagination. *"I believe that anything that exists is, by definition, part of nature and it is explainable. If not now, then eventually." -- Ricky Gervais*

Allfor Hisglory Even if you don't see it as composed, it is, trust me. AronRa is a professional, he knows his shit, the same way i know my field of work i've been in for 12 years, after learning and knowing so much, for so long, it get's frustrating and down right annoying when people come in and ask the exact same questions as the last guy, that again and again, i've answered and shown evidence for my ways and methods, but yet they simply can't agree because they either don't understand or they have a predisposition by either old or outdated common teachings, still under old standard procedures (which won't be changed for a long time, because of the old field of previous experts who don't understand either and are too stubborn in their ways for a change) even though my ways and methods work 99.9% of the time. It gets monotonous and frustrating, and some days you can't help but snap a little at people because you just plain get sick of the crap. I've seen most of AronRa's video's, this isn't that angry.

AronRa is comfort for me because I too was raised catholic and then a born again christian from ages 15-18. I questioned it and got backlash. I found contradictions and was challenged. Took a step back and looked at the bigger picture. Why would there be over 30,000 sects and each one claims to be the right one. Sorry, I'll just choose to believe my eyes and facts before blind faith. Thanks to this guy I have that much more confidence to confront some yelping fanatic on a megaphone on the corner telling people how they will suffer if they don't listen to his own interpretation of some over-rated book that .000001% of religious people actually read (that dick just wants to make money off of poor poeple and he knows it). Yeah there are times where I’m like guys let them talk lol, but at the same time I don’t think it makes what they’re saying any less valid. Aron did pretty good with that this time tbh.

Aron sure doesn't look the part, but has quite the ability to articulate and make his points very easy to understand. I cannot imagine even the most indoctrinated, irrational, hardcore religious zealot walking away from a discussion with this man without questioning themselves and everything they believe. Despite being unable to imagine it....it likely happens quite often, which is truly embarrassing for our species. Religion being so difficult to educate out of people, seems to leave us with little choice but to label it a disease.

Aron's ability to debate religious people comes from the fact that he is generally better educated about the bible than they are. Aron usually manages to destroy the bible simply using passages from the bible. Knowledge is power and he certainly knows his bible.

We all have been miseducate, please go back to the Books, to see if your ancestors stoped in the far East, befor they came to europe, after leaving the mother land. Jonathan Mills "I would not doubt our ancestors did this once out of Africa." I think my words here can be misinterpreted to mean we may have come from Africa. Sorry, not my intention. Some of us way back when went north, some east, and so on. I was trying to say our species obviously did not stay in Africa and that there was that day our curiosity or need for food or water sent us away from the Continent of Africa. Aron also has some excellent videos on evolution. Of course most of the species and subspecies have Latin names and I'm not up on my Latin. LOL However, if you can get around all the names he explains evolution exceptionally well. PS: I'm not American.

I could listen to Aron talk for hours and hours. And that Christian dude needs some speech lessons for that serious speech impediment.

+janice schiffman Hold. Don't get give him crap for any speech impediment. I have one and they are a bitch to get rid of, I've been trying all my life to get rid of mine and it still comes out now and then. Ok, now that I've helped the 'Christian dude' I'm going to attack him. What he needs lessons on is how not to distort not someone else is saying. I mean damn how many times in AronRa have to stop him from twisting words around?

I just love him! I have such a crush on this guy! Love to see him up close being interviewed. He is so badass to stand up against this group of oppressive hateful zealots. Btw what is wrong with the interviewer? I mean i would not be able to stand this guy for more than a minute! He wasn’t even listening at all! He was only waiting for the moment to keep slithering in and whispering a stupid question that would ,hopefully, stump AronRa. In my opinion, anyone who is too stupid to realize that they should speak above a whisper during a demonstration is too stupid to deserve my time.

Duuuuuuuuude! You've earned a new subscriber for sure! Well argued points and a far calmer demeanor than I'd ever be able to pull off in that setting! You're a true phenomenon! Favorite part: "So you believe Satan is a woman?" "No! I don't believe in Satan!"

Faith is now the new blind faith. This frustrates me. As someone who is confident that the scientific method works, I like to claim my faith lies in the effectiveness of this method. Faith is a synonymous with confidence. The religious like to argue that it takes faith to believe in god, and I like to provide evidence contrary to this. I cringe when I hear the word used to imply blind faith by atheist. Why give them this word? it doesn't make sense.

The only kind of faith is blind faith. Faith is defined by surrendering reason.

Your criticizing my definition of faith. You're proving part of my point. Having faith is a test you have to pass everyday. Long as I have faith who are you to tell me i'm wrong?

Is that how you react to all things you are wrong about? I'm telling you the definition of a word. That is all.
