I really like Ferdi’s explanations and attitude. His love of design and how it ties to the family he obviously appreciates and stewards.

A collection that reflects its owners philosophy and ideals… inspiring. This is why sharing your collection should feel like a confession. Great episode!

The man really understands and values the design and heritage of those pieces. These tiny ideas with links to different cars like the winner of the ice race. The fact that he waits with the ice race to time it with the anniversary. Truly well thought. What I liked the most is that regardless of design or technology he understands, that the most valuable pieces of the collection are connected with strong memories and / or heritage. How he likes the scratches from the ring on the car handle, because it reminds him of his mother driving the car is just fantastic. Great interview, wonderful guest, really authentic. I wish him that his collection continues to grow in such great taste.

Great to see a collection that is not about flexing, but about family and memories. Also, great cars and interesting color combos; the brown Taycan was especially nice 👌🏻

It is flexing though, in a “if you know you know” way. There’s a couple expensive watches in there that are worth a lot. AP, Rolex, jaeger

This may just be my favourite edition of Talking Watches. It is very clear that each piece means something special to the guest. However, what struck me was how each watch is distinct in its own right, while not being a "typical" edition. The fact that this collection was unintentional is what makes it all the more charming. And how sweet is that Unimatic Amos Project?!

To me this is the best Talking Watches since Grahame Fowler. Stacey is just so good at bring out the passion in the interviewee. The folks behind the camera really outdid themselves with the video work as well. Top marks to Ferdi's family for raising a seemingly well adjusted kid.
@lawrenceh71822 жыл бұрын
A great chilled episode that suits the personality and feel of the place, really nicely done. Also appreciate that he has a collection of pieces that have nothing to do with flexing but are personal in some way to him. A Ploprof, Reverso and a Kontiki all in one very tidy collection. James always nails letting the subjects do the talking too. Top marks the H team.
