As for Tom Sandoval, I think it’s interesting that every outlet keeps calling him a narcissist but no one ever mentions his ADHD. He has admitted to being diagnosed with that, and though it’s COMPLETELY different from narcissism and doesn’t necessarily cause selfish behavior, it still adds interesting insight. ADHD basically boils down to a dopamine deficiency so people who struggle with it are more likely to act impulsively and engage in risky behavior. I’m surrounded by people with ADHD in my family and “dopamine seeking” explains so much of their behavior, good and bad. Statistically people with ADHD are more likely to cheat because of this. Anyway, something to think about. Though Sandoval has been super selfish I’m not sure I’m convinced he’s a narcissist. Hope I don’t offend anyone with ADHD. Not saying these things always happen, just that they can happen. Definitely perks about ADHD, especially as far as creativity goes.

Since the break up plan didn’t work with Ariana where (she will act all sad and crazy over him being with Raquel next season) I think it’s Tom Sandoval’s plan to break up with Raquel and have her act crazy jealous over him like Kristen did. I think the plan for Raquel is to bring her on to react to Tom trying to date other girls around her probably the people who Raquel works with to get her fired up. The season will be her trying to get Tom back or get Tom jealous and aggravate the whole cast in the process. Or they can always have Lisa Vanderpump hire her as her House/Horsekeeper Girl, live in the guest house and hang out in her jacuzzi with Ken.

I see her as someone that has been motivated by the same thing since her first season from using James to potentially now squeezing in on the Toms.. We, of course, can’t diagnose anybody but we can recognise possible tendencies in people based on our own life experiences. I do see the ADHD traits in Sandoval especially the hyperactivity, impulsivity and social/emotional immaturity. In Raquel I see what could be autistic traits - lack of facial expression, inappropriate social/emotional responses, slow cognitive processing/speech, low self esteem, vulnerable to manipulation etc. etc. None of this excuses their actions and their behaviour is definitely narcissistic in nature - especially the high level of deception they engaged in (trying to blame Ariana and effectively remove her and Katie from the show). Time will tell whether either of them can grow and learn from their mistakes and dreadful choices 😻

Ryan - I love your show/recaps, but would love to see recaps that acknowledge production. For example, every time you say “why aren’t the Tom’s working on Schwartz and Sandy’s and going on the trip?” - we know that 1) S&S was created as them as front men but not running the restaurant 2) production (their actual income) dictates where and when they film. It’s just awkward to say “why aren’t they focusing” or “why is Tom here when he should be at the restaurant” it’s production.
