Well, this makes things better for me. The Yanks are obviously top choice, which would make sense. If I were Juan Soto, I’d want to be a Yankee or Dodger - the issue with the Dodgers is they don’t need him even if they want him - not an ideal situation for a competitor. Otherwise… if you’re really one of the best of all time - you want to play in NY or LA. If Dodgers aren’t an option, you’d never choose the miserable Mets (unless maybe if Lindor is his closet lover or best friend) but you’d pretend you might because you want to drive up the price to as high as the Yanks are willing to pay and then relent and agree. I predict this will be the outcome. Personally, I’d choose the Yanks even if Stevie offered another $100 mil. Just get some opt outs and you can top that later. And as far as Boston goes… would you rather be the talk of the town in NY or Boston? Would you rather have the key to the city of NY or Boston? The choice seems obvious… and the best player is never going to Canada- total hassle.

The "J" in "Juan" is pronounced like the "H" in "have", "Harry", "Hello", etc. "Juan" is not pronounced like the word "One".
