Sara Sharif’s father and stepmother have been jailed for life for years of horrific “torture” and “despicable” abuse culminating in her murder.
The 10-year-old suffered “unimaginable pain, misery and anxiety” as she was repeatedly beaten, burned, bitten and restrained at the family home in Woking, Surrey, the court heard.

The one who really provoked my anger is the step mother more than the father . She is totally emotionless, lacks empathy , is merciless for no good reason whatsoever. The father has longstanding history of violence and he should have been referred much earlier by Social Services if not his GP to a psychiatrist for assessment and therapy. I have seen more than one case where Social Services action towards vulnerable children was far from protective of them but could not influence their decision. The poor innocent girl lost her life and nothing will change the fact she was let down by all around her , not just the abusive father , step mother and her indifferent uncle.

I am a big believer in Capital Punishment, some people do not deserve this life they have been given and the tax payer should not have to pickup the bill, this is where me and Peter will disagree. People look the other way, that is the problem, baby P was white people looked the other way. Victoria C was black people looked the other way. Sara was of duel heritage ( European and Pakistani) and people looked the other way. Personally I've reported my neighbours many years ago because I knew that they had gone out and left a 3 year old and a baby alone. I called the police, those children were removed, I received abuse from for a long while after.

He came to the UK over 20 years ago. As a student. Who 'studied' business. But then drove a taxi. And 20 years later still needed an interpretor in court. And there are thousands more like him

Not if 2 Kier has anything to do with it .. he’ll be out next year to make space for the angry tweet .. no way I as a neighbor would listen to that without bashing the door down ! As for the social workers / doctors/ police.. absolute shame at the very least they should lose their jobs but also actually be charged! When they start prosecuting child care workers /Drs & police for gross negligence then they will actually do their f’n job properly.. way too many get out of jail clauses and not the first time we have heard about a child known to services with parents using stereotypical ways of hiding abuse ! I know it you know it and anyone that watches true crime knows it .. I hope all those involved professionally in this case never get a days rest / peace as long as they live without the memory of this child’s horror and suffering haunting them until their dying day… they failed her yet multiple chances to save her! Shocking but no one ever held to account.. and it will be repeated time over until people that are meant to be doing their job protecting children actually do their job !

Uk has a strong law system look at my country where these things happen but parents don't get punishment because abusing kids by parents consider part of our culture unfortunately

That Judge who handed Sara back to her father. Knowing full well her father had beaten woman and Children up, before she was born. Should be up in Court as well. What possessed this Stupid Judge to think this evil father was capable of looking after his young daughter..

Read testimonials on women's aid website. Family courts nearly always side with violent male perpetrators. The mothers are labelled " unbalanced liers" by these perpetrators and believed more often than not.

Heart breaks for her .why can't the social services do the job they are trained to do ..in fact you don't need to do training to know a child is suffering ..just do your job properly and she would have been saved .
